NBA SGP: +925 Los Angeles Lakers @ New Orleans Pelicans

Tonight, the first of two Western Conference Play-In Tournament games will feature the Los Angeles Lakers and New Orleans Pelicans. The winner will face the Denver Nuggets in the first round, so we worked up an ultimate same-game parlay.

Legs 1 & 2: LeBron James 25+ Points, 8+ Assists

LeBron James has averaged 28.3 points and 11.8 assists in four games against the Pelicans this season, and knowing what’s at stake in tonight’s contest, it’s fair to expect the best from him. If he doesn’t have 25 points with eight assists, the Lakers are in trouble, but they might be okay with a chance at dodging the Nuggets in the first round.

Legs 3 & 4: Anthony Davis 20+ Points, 12+ Rebounds

Anthony Davis has combined for 20 points and 12 rebounds in ten of his last 12 games. He’s fresh off a 30-point, 11-rebound performance against the Pelicans on Sunday, where LeBron also had 11 rebounds. I don’t expect LeBron to have 11 rebounds tonight, so I expect another rebound to contribute to Davis’s 12-rebound mark.

Leg 5: Austin Reaves 10+ Points

Austin Reaves has averaged 21 points in four games against the Pelicans this season and exceeded the ten-point threshold in 28 of his last 30 games. That seems simple enough to me!

Legs 6 & 7: CJ McCollum 20+ Points, 4+ Rebounds

CJ McCollum has been excellent for the Pelicans lately. He’s scored at least 20 points in 12 of his last 13 games and grabbed at least four rebounds in eight straight games. We have no reason to expect his production to dip tonight in such a meaningful game.

Leg 8: Trey Murphy III 2+ Threes

To close out our parlay, we’ll target Trey Murphy III from deep as he’s knocked down at least two threes in ten of his last 11 games, but over his previous five, he’s averaging nearly ten attempts from beyond the arc. If we get almost ten attempts from deep again tonight, he should drill at least two by the middle of the third quarter.
