Suns vs Thunder Wednesday Prediction | NBA Picks Today, Best Bets

John Canady

Host · Writer

The Phoenix Suns are set for a Wednesday night battle against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Phoenix looks to snap a two-game losing streak as they continue to struggle with consistency throughout this season. However, they’ll likely be attempting to turn things around without Kevin Durant, who’s expected to be sidelined tonight with an ankle injury amid trade rumors. Meanwhile, the Thunder continue to stack wins as their young squad proves they’re ready to make a run for a championship.

Suns vs Thunder Best Bet: Thunder -12

The Thunder have continuously shown that they are a force to be reckoned with this season. Against a Suns team that has struggled to find any winning recipe since they formed their big three, it wouldn’t be a shock to see Oklahoma City run away with this matchup, especially with Durant unable to suit up.

Suns vs Thunder Best Total Bet: Over 228.5

In their lone matchup on the season, the Thunder steamrolled the Suns by 16 points. Even then, neither team could break the 100-point mark with a final score of 99-83. Despite that, I’m taking the odds that the Thunder will look to make a statement against their Western Conference competition. I’ll take the over in this battle with OKC dominating the Suns 126-108.

Suns Best Player Bet: Devin Booker 30+ Points Scored +170

Devin Booker just became the All-Time leading scorer in Suns history this past week. The Kentucky product has been on fire lately, and he has taken it upon himself to turn things around for Phoenix. With 30+ points in each of his last three games, the star guard will likely have to put up another big game if the Suns hope to stay in this one against an explosive Thunder squad without Durant.

Thunder Best Player Bet: Isaiah Hartenstein 14+ Rebounds +200

Isaiah Hartenstein was signed in the offseason to give the Thunder a big body that could crash the boards in the frontcourt. Since joining Oklahoma City, the seven-footer has done precisely that, averaging 12.5 rebounds per game during the season. Hartenstein has multiple games with 14+ rebounds this year, including two in the Thunder’s last three games. I’ll take the odds that the gritty center will have another big night tonight against the Suns’ questionable frontcourt.
