Clemson vs McNeese Same Game Parlay | CBB Best Bets Today

The NCAA Tournament has begun, and the round of 64 kicks into high gear with a full day of action that tips off shortly after noon on Thursday. The 12 vs. 5 games always provide some memorable moments, and the matchup of McNeese versus Clemson should be no exception. Will Wade and the Cowboys have dominated the Southland Conference each of the past two seasons, and they entered this game against the Clemson Tigers as a very trendy upset pick. However, Brad Brownell’s Tigers are coming off Clemson’s best regular season in school history and will be loathe to allow Cinderella to dance.
Here is a fun same-game parlay to add more juice to this exciting first-round matchup!

Clemson vs McNeese – SGP (+879)
Clemson (-7.5)
The Clemson Tigers enter this contest after finishing 27-6 with an 18-2 record in the ACC. That number sets a new record for ACC victories for the Tigers, and they finished tied with Louisville and one game back of the Duke Blue Devils in the ACC standings. The Tigers are only favored by 7.5 points, but the SportsGrid model has the Tigers as the best bet to cover that number and win this matchup by nearly 15. McNeese head coach Will Wade, a Clemson alum, has acknowledged that he has been in contact with the North Carolina State Wolfpack, and the extra noise may distract his squad.

OVER 133.5 Total Points
Clemson can drag this game into the mud and play a low-scoring and physical contest. If you don’t believe me, watch the first half of the ACC Tournament semifinal against Louisville. That makes it very tempting to take the under, but the point total has dropped to a very low 133.5 points, and if the Tigers are to cover the spread, as we believe they will, it seems likely this game will be played at a higher number. McNeese has the 63rd most efficient offense in the country, according to KenPom, while Clemson checks in at No. 24. Neither team plays quickly, but the Tigers have scored 70 points or more in nine of their past 11 games, and McNeese is averaging more than 77 points per game.

Viktor Lakhin To Score 10+ Points
One of Clemson’s advantages will be center Viktor Lakhin. The Cincinnati transfer has been outstanding all season for the Tigers, and if he can stay out of foul trouble, he’ll be a significant problem for McNeese. Dating back to February 1, Lahkin has scored in double-digits in nine of 12 games. Two of the single-digit games resulted from foul trouble, and the third was because of limited playing time in a blowout win over Florida State.
In his past ten games, Lahkin has scored 14 points or more seven times, and he’ll have a size and skill advantage over the big men of McNeese. If he can stay on the court, going over ten points seems like a near-sure thing.
Ian Schieffelin To Record 10+ Rebounds
Ian Schieffelin is one of my favorite players to watch, and the senior will not go down without a fight. Schieffelin is a rebounding maestro, expertly positioning himself to repeatedly beat his defender to the ball. He’s far from the most athletic player in the post but consistently gets the job done. Schieffelin is plus-money to exceed ten rebounds, but he averages 9.4 and will likely play nearly 40 minutes today if that is what Clemson needs.
McNeese is a relatively poor defensive rebounding team (257th on Torvik), which could spell trouble against Schieffelin. He will not be outworked, and as the final leg of this parlay, a double-double is in the cards for him today.
