The college football season continues with Week 11 action. What SEC bets should you make this week? The SEC has plenty of contenders looking to make their mark for the National Championship in 2024, highlighted by Georgia, Texas, Alabama, Tennessee, LSU, and Ole Miss. The journey for these powerhouse programs continues in Week 10. Let’s dive in.
We’ll highlight our weekly SEC best bets below and keep track of our betting record throughout the season. Good luck!
Season Record: 18-13-0
Units: +9 Units
SEC Play (1 Unit)
Florida Gators vs No. 5 Texas Longhorns
Spread: Gators +21.5 (-115) | Longhorns -21.5 (-105)
Moneyline: Gators +1100 | Longhorns -2500
Total: OVER 47.5 (-110) | UNDER 47.5 (-110)
It’s been an up-and-down season for the Florida Gators, while the Texas Longhorns remain in the mix for a College Football Playoff spot and conference championship. The Gators have dealt with some key injuries, and it’s currently unknown if five-star quarterback DJ Lagway can suit up on Saturday. Even if he doesn’t, this is still a number that I feel is being undervalued. The Longhorns offense is coming off a bye and had the chance to recover and get healthy. This is a spot for them to make an offensive statement. As much as their are question marks surrounding the Gators, they have some sneaky talent that can show out, just ask the Georgia Bulldogs last week.
Recommended Play: OVER 47.5 (-110)
Mississippi State Bulldogs vs No. 7 Tennessee Volunteers
Spread: Bulldogs +23.5 (-106) | Volunteers -23.5 (-114)
Moneyline: Bulldogs +1160 | Volunteers -2800
Total: OVER 60.5 (-114) | UNDER 60.5 (-106)
The Mississippi State Bulldogs have impressed me at times this season with how they’ve played. At some point, though, the lack of overall talent will show up in conference play. After keeping things close against Georgia and Texas A&M, the Bulldogs had a reality check against Arkansas. On the other hand, the Volunteers have started to gain some momentum down the stretch, and this is another chance for them to put up a significant number and improve upon their offense. As much as there have been some small bright spots for the Bulldogs on offense, they don’t pass the eye test against a Volunteers team that’s far superior on both sides of the football.
Recommended Play: Volunteers -23.5 (-114)
N0. 11 Alabama Crimson Tide vs No. 14 LSU Tigers
Spread: Crimson Tide -2.5 (-120) | Tigers +2.5 (-102)
Moneyline: Crimson Tide -138 | Tigers +115
Total: OVER 58.5 (-110) | UNDER 58.5 (-110)
It’s the game of the week in college football, with the Alabama Crimson Tide visiting the LSU Tigers. Not only is it a great game on paper, but it’s also an elimination game concerning the College Football Playoff. We saw a dominant first quarter from the Crimson Tide against Georgia, which was enough to propel them to victory. Otherwise, I’ve been more impressed with the LSU Tigers’ output. There have been some bumps along the road, but I still think the ceiling for the Tigers is slightly higher than that of the Crimson Tide. Couple that with the Tigers playing at home under the lights, and I like their chances on Saturday.
Recommended Play: Tigers Moneyline +115 (Can also just take the points)
Bigger SEC Play (2 Units)
