Marquee matchup, Alabama and Oklahoma, the world will be watching. We know this one. This is the big one, total of 40.5, but look at this spread. Oklahoma minus 1.5. It tells us, Paul, the oddsmakers think this is a dead even matchup. Of course, it's a rematch of a game that was played earlier this year. I'm sure that you have dove into that first matchup. Do you think that this is a repeatable matchup for Oklahoma at home? Yeah, I tell you, I agree. These teams, uh, Craig, on paper anyway, appear to be dead even. Uh, you know, looking at that, uh, first game in Tuscaloosa back on November 15th, uh, when Oklahoma, which was about a 10-point underdog, I believe, they went into Tuscaloosa, obviously upset, uh, the Crimson Tide 23 to 21. In that game, however, Alabama held Oklahoma to just 212 yards. Sooners only had 12 first-downs. uh, Sooners were only 3 of 13 on third down. Uh, but the Crimson Tide committed 3 turnovers. One of those returned 87 yards for a touchdown on an interception by Eli Bowen. So that, uh, you know, was pretty much the difference. All in all, those 3 turnovers by Alabama and Oklahoma didn't commit any, but those 3 turnovers resulted in 17 of Oklahoma's 23 points. Uh, the Sooners only had 4.2 yards per play against the first meeting. Uh, in the first meeting. So, you know, looking at these teams again, I think they're dead even. So I'm looking at the total here, and the total was 40 earlier today, but it's starting to tick up a little bit. I'm seeing 41 at multiple books right now, and I like the under here, you know, I, I just look at these teams in the first meeting, that total closed at 46, even though there were 30. One point scored in the first half, it somehow remained, uh, under as Oklahoma only won by that 23 to 21 margin. But you look at these teams and they're both so good defensively. Uh, the Sooners certainly, you know, they can make the argument they're the second-best defense in college football. In my opinion, behind Ohio State, Oklahoma giving up. Only 14.9 points per game, a little under 285 yards a game, and just 4.1 yards per play. They rank in the top 10 nationally in all those key statistical categories. And then looking at Alabama, they're top 15 in points allowed, 18.8, and also in yardage allowed, just a little over 304 a game. Um, you look at these teams offensively, 136 teams in the FBS. These teams in yards per play offensively are in the lower half, which is incredible for two teams in the playoffs. Alabama just on the south side of the break-even point. They're 69th in yards per play at 5, uh, 5.4 yards per play. Oklahoma, 99th at just 5 yards per play. Both these teams have been under machines this year. Alabama 10 to, uh, 10 and 3 to the under, Oklahoma, 10-2 to the under. The clincher for me and I'll close here, but during the game window tomorrow night, this game kicking off at 8 p.m. Eastern, during the window of those three or four hours, much like parts of the country throughout the US having heavy winds, that's expected tomorrow night in Norman. Wind's expected to be between 16 and 19 MPH during the game. That's going to make these You know, lower-performing offenses, probably even more conservative. I think points are going to be at a premium. I like the under 41, Alabama, Oklahoma.
