Miami-Notre Dame Could Decide the Heisman Trophy

Saturday’s matchup between Miami and Notre Dame could have major implications for the Heisman Trophy race, with Tony, Mensa and CJ Carr among the candidates connected to the game.

If CJ Carr leads Notre Dame to a win, he could put himself in position to capture the award. Notre Dame would be expected to run the table, potentially move up to No. 2 or No. 1 and finish 11-1, with Carr’s performance against Miami becoming a defining moment.

If Miami wins, the race could come down to which player has the bigger night: Malachi or Darian. Jeremiah Smith appears to be on the outside looking in because he does not have the quarterback to consistently get him the football.

Ultimately, whoever performs best in this matchup could win the Heisman. With the game taking place in South Bend, Miami-Notre Dame promises one of the greatest environments of the season and could be the game of the year.
