Week 9 of the NFL season finishes tonight on Monday Night Football when the Kansas City Chiefs will host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. We put together an ultimate same-game parlay for the action.
Valued at +1050, let’s ride!
Leg 1: Chiefs -2.5
The undefeated Chiefs enter tonight as 9.5-point favorites in Arrowhead against a depleted Bucs team, so I struggle to drum up a scenario where they show up flat. I anticipate the Bucs will put up more of a fight than most expect. We just saw them score 26 points last week without Mike Evans and Chris Godwin, but this Chiefs team is too dominant to lose at home to the Bucs. We don’t want to play the 9.5 in our parlay, so we’ll tease the spread down to 2.5 to ensure we get the field goal hook and expect the Chiefs to win by a field goal at worst.
Legs 2 & 3: Kareem Hunt Anytime TD & 50+ Rushing Yards
Over the past three weeks, this Chiefs’ offense has run through Kareem Hunt, who’s combined for four touchdowns on an average of over 23 carries and nearly 80 yards per game. In a game where the Chiefs should control the ball for most of the game, expecting Hunt to keep his touchdown dominance and get us 50 rushing yards.
Leg 4: Travis Kelce 5+ Receptions
Travis Kelce is back to dominating after an early season funk, and we saw him put together a ten-reception outing last week. Across the previous four weeks, he’s averaging 7.5 receptions. We’ll keep this simple and expect him to make five grabs for us tonight. He should be able to do that in his sleep!
Leg 5: Xavier Worthy 3+ Receptions
Xavier Worthy enters tonight having recorded at least three receptions in four straight games, and he’s also seen eight targets in each of the last two games. Even if we get just five or six targets tonight, the chances of him making three catches are high, and overall, I’m not ready to declare that DeAndre Hopkins has leaped him in the depth chart.
Leg 6: Cade Otton 5+ Receptions
Cade Otton is commanding the Bucs’ offense through the air right now, as he’s combined for 17 receptions across the last two weeks. He’s become Baker Mayfield’s go-to guy amid all the injuries. We expect him to be targeted early and often tonight. Frankly, if Otton doesn’t reach the five-catch mark, then there is a good chance things are going wrong for the Bucs, and they are on track to lose by 20+.
Leg 7: Bucky Irving 2+ Receptions
To close out our parlay, we’ll look for Bucky Irving to be involved as a pass-catcher out of the backfield after he made seven receptions last week. Overall, he’s made two catches in six of eight games this season, and Mayfield will have to get rid of the ball quickly tonight with all the pressure that the Chiefs’ front can create. Let’s ride!
