Chargers vs. Steelers Best Bet ATS: Steelers -1.5 (-108)

Although we’ve yet to see Justin Fields get unleashed on offense under Arthur Smith, he hasn’t made any mistakes as the Steelers’ quarterback, which is a big reason they’re 2-0. An offense that hasn’t turned the football over, paired with a defense that looks like one of the best in the NFL, will give you an excellent start to the year in Pittsburgh. The same goes for the Chargers, who took care of business against Las Vegas and Carolina. This will be a big test for both these teams in Week 3. It will be interesting to see how the Chargers manage Justin Herbert in this matchup, knowing that he’s been dealing with an ankle injury and has been limited this week at practice. The last thing you want going against a ferocious pass rush like the one in Pittsburgh is not to be able to move well in the pocket. Look for the Steelers’ defense to play the hero role on Sunday and lead them to their third win.

Chargers vs. Steelers Best Bet Total: UNDER 35.5 (108)

With how these respective teams like to play football, it’s no surprise that we have a very low total in this matchup. The Steelers are superior from a talent standpoint, but Jim Harbaugh drafted and acquired players this offseason who play his brand of football. As a result, it shouldn’t shock anyone that the Chargers have looked defensively stout through two weeks. The Steelers haven’t had any urgency to pick up the pace on offense, and it’s hard to envision that changing in this matchup, especially if the Steelers decide to stack the box defensively on the Chargers run game. Even with such a low total, this one has under written all over it come Sunday.

Chargers vs. Steelers Best Player Props

Justin Herbert UNDER 183.5 Passing Yards (-114)

With some injury concerns already surrounding Herbert heading into Sunday, it won’t be a surprise to see the Chargers have a heavy run game approach, which they’ve already been utilizing. Herbert has only thrown for 274 yards through two games, which should highlight why the number’s set where it is. The Steelers have already been a difficult team to deal with defensively, and with Herbert potentially struggling from a mobility standpoint, we’ll take the under on his passing yards prop this week on the road.
