Colts vs. Bengals Predictions | NFL Picks Today, Best Bets

John Canady

Host · Writer

The NFL exhibition season is coming to an end, with real football right around the corner. The Indianapolis Colts will travel to Ohio to take on the Cincinnati Bengals in the final game of the preseason for both squads before roster cuts begin next week. Here’s a look at what to watch tonight between the two AFC teams.

Colts @ Bengals Game Information

Location: Paycor Stadium (Cincinnati, Ohio )
Time: 8:00 p.m. ET | Where to Watch: Amazon Prime Video
Spread: Colts -6.5 | Moneyline: Colts -300 | Total: 34.5

Colts @ Bengals Best Bet: Colts -6.5

According to head coach Shane Steichen, the Colts will be playing their starters nearly the whole first half tonight. Meanwhile, the Bengals will be holding their main guys out to get a better look at their depth and prioritize health as the season nears. With Anthony Richardson and the offense looking to get in sync after a brief outing in the first week of preseason and sitting last game, expect Indy to be aggressive. Not to mention, Indianapolis reserves have had no trouble scoring in the first two weeks.

Colts @ Bengals Best Bet Total: OVER 34.5

I would expect multiple touchdowns between the two teams. The Colts hope to find a rhythm with their young group, and their secondary has shown signs of struggles at times.

Bengals Offensive Player to Watch: Andre Iosivas

Andre Iosivas has been a name on the rise since the start of training camp. The first-year wide receiver out of Princeton has drawn early comparisons to Puka Nacua’s first camp with the Rams. While he may not have the same output as Nacua did in his rookie season, the six-foot-three wide receiver could be fun to monitor if he’s one of the select starters to suit up tonight.

Bengals Defensive Player to Watch: Daijhan Anthony

Daijhan Anthony will likely get a lot of reps tonight as the Bengals sit their starters on defense. The first-year safety from Ole Miss played a pivotal role in the Rebels’ defense, and Cincy is eager to see if he can develop into a contributor at the next level. Anthony has a great opportunity in front of him; it will be interesting to see what he does with it.

Colts Offensive Player to Watch: Adonai Mitchell

Adonai Mitchell has been the talk of the Colts training camp this offseason. The talented wide receiver fell to the Colts in the second round of the NFL Draft after many believed he could be a first-round talent. Mitchell carries a chip on his shoulder and with Josh Downs hurt, his role only got bigger as he competes with Alec Pierce for a starting spot. The Texas star will look to continue building the early connection he’s developed with starting quarterback Anthony Richardson.

Colts Defensive Player to Watch: Nick Cross

Nick Cross was selected as a raw and young prospect in the 2022 NFL Draft. The safety has shown flashes of the potential the Colts were eager to draft him for, but he’s also shown areas that need improvement. Nonetheless, this season, Indy gave Cross the chance to compete for a starting spot at free safety despite fans and the media calling for the team to add to the position in free agency. Cross responded with two good preseason games so far and looks to solidly himself as the starter with another strong performance tonight.
