The NFC East is well represented in this year’s NFC Conference Championship Game. The Washington Commanders have made a surprise run to the third round, knocking off the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and top-ranked Detroit Lions as road underdogs. Now, they get to test their mettle against the Philadelphia Eagles. The NFC East winners have earned a reputation as one of the most ferocious defensive teams in the country. However, you can’t discount their offensive abilities either. That puts the Commanders at a deficit in Sunday’s tilt, as they enter as +6.5 underdogs. Washington has been on a hell of a run, but they face an uphill battle to make it eight straight victories.

Commanders vs Eagles NFC Championship Game Best Bet ATS: Commanders +6.5
The Commanders’ seven-game winning streak has been nothing short of magnificent. Despite entering three of those contests as underdogs, including Week 16 versus this same Eagles team, and playing four of those games on the road, Washington has vanquished every team they’ve faced. Equally as impressively, that run has propelled them to a 5-2 record against the spread. The Commanders have maximized production on both sides of the football. Their once lackluster defense has been improved, and no one has been able to stop their prolific offense. Conversely, the Eagles have looked less impressive in punching their way into the NFC Championship Game. Their offense has been stagnant with Jalen Hurts back under center, instead relying on big plays from Saquon Barkley to put points on the board. Likewise, we saw the Los Angeles Rams repeatedly poke holes in their defense last week, setting the blueprint for how to beat the Eagles. While they may come up short in their pursuit of a Super Bowl berth, we like the Commanders’ chances of keeping it close at Lincoln Financial Field.

Commanders vs Eagles NFC Championship Game Best Bet Total: Over 47.5
Despite its league-leading defense, Philadelphia has been on an ‘over’ trend over the past few weeks. The Eagles have eclipsed the total in three of their past five. The only two times they’ve stayed beneath the total were the Wild Card Round versus a depleted Green Bay Packers team and Week 18, when they sat virtually all of their starters. Likewise, Washington is on an identical ‘over’ run. They’ve eclipsed the total in three of five, thanks mainly to their high-octane offense. Across the five-game sample, the Commanders are averaging 31.4 points per game. Washington has also been on a reliable ‘over’ trend as the visitors. In ten road games this season, the Wild Card representatives have surpassed the total on six occasions. Recently, sportsbooks have underestimated the offensive potential of Eagles and Commanders. We’re betting on that trend holding steady in the NFC Championship Game, with this one going over 47.5.
Commanders vs Eagles NFC Championship Game Best Player Props
Jayden Daniels Over 223.5 Passing Yards, Anytime Touchdown Scorer +210
The Commanders’ chances of punching their way into Super Bowl LIX live and die with Jayden Daniels. As it’s been throughout the season, we’re predicting another showstopping effort from the rookie quarterback in the NFC Championship Game. Daniels has been unaffected by the magnitude of his position. The Commanders quarterback has completed 69.7% of his passes this postseason for 567 yards and four touchdowns. After Matthew Stafford’s 324-yard effort last week, the Eagles’ secondary doesn’t look as tough as they used to. We expect Daniels to surpass 223.5 passing yards on Sunday. Moreover, he is an ideal value pick as an anytime touchdown scorer. Sportsbooks have Daniels installed at a hefty +210 price tag. While he hasn’t been as proficient in scoring in recent weeks, his volume of carries supports that he’s an ideal candidate to snap out of his funk. Week 18 notwithstanding, Daniels has 45 rushing attempts in his last three starts, totaling 214 yards over that stretch. We expect the scoring to catch up with his elite production against the Eagles and are backing Daniels to record a touchdown in Philadelphia.
