Cowboys vs 49ers: NFL Week 8 Prediction, Best Bets & Props

Two of the NFL‘s most iconic franchises will square off in a Week 8 primetime showdown on Sunday Night Football. The San Francisco 49ers (3-4) will host the Dallas Cowboys (3-3).

Here is everything you need to know, including our top picks and predictions!

Betting & Game Information

  • Spread: 49ers (-4.5) | Moneyline: Cowboys (+188), 49ers (-220) | Total: 47.5
  • Date & Time: Sunday, Oct. 27th at 8:20 p.m. ET
  • Location: Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, CA
  • Where to Watch: NBC (TV), Peacock (Live Stream)

Best Bet: Cowboys Moneyline (+188)

Dallas returns from its much-needed bye week, which followed an embarrassing 47-9 loss to the Detroit Lions. While the Cowboys are expected to be without star linebacker Micah Parsons (ankle) again, San Francisco is also dealing with several critical injuries. The Niners lost Pro Bowl wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk to a season-ending ACL/MCL tear last week, and fellow stud wideout Deebo Samuel is battling pneumonia, leaving his status for Sunday up in the air. Meanwhile, superstar running back Christian McCaffrey (Achilles) remains sidelined. Simply put, this is a vulnerable San Francisco team with a defense that has underperformed. Having had two full weeks to prepare and desperately needing a win to keep pace in the NFC East, I’m backing America’s Team to pull off the upset.

Player Prop: DAL TE Jake Ferguson OVER 4.5 Receptions (-102)

Ferguson was limited to just three catches in last week’s loss. Before that, the 25-year-old had hauled in at least five passes in three straight games, establishing himself as the clear No. 2 option in the Cowboys passing attack behind superstar CeeDee Lamb. San Francisco has been relatively tough on tight ends, but Ferguson’s talent and consistent role should lead to a bounce-back performance in the receptions department.

Prediction

Final Score: Cowboys 24 – 49ers 23
