1. Kansas City Chiefs
Until a team dethrones the Kansas City Chiefs, it's almost impossible not to rank them atop this list and as the favorites to win a third Super Bowl in a row. Patrick Mahomes, paired with this high-end defense, continues to be the high bar set in the NFL. Even though this team hasn't played a complete game yet, the talent is there for them to continue running the league.
2. Buffalo Bills
We might have been too early in dismissing the Buffalo Bills in the AFC. The team looks reenergized, and head coach Sean McDermott is doing some of his best work. Don't sleep on the Bills with Josh Allen at the helm. Through three weeks, there's a real case to be made that the Buffalo Bills have looked like the most complete team in football. There will be some struggles at some point this season, but the Bills are right up there with the best in the league this season.
3. Minnesota Vikings
The Minnesota Vikings are a surprise entrant on this list. Sam Darnold has done everything asked of him as the QB1 for the Vikings, and the defense looks much better than it did a year ago. Brian Flores has continued to send out different looks on defense that are fooling opposing offenses. Can that continue, or will teams ultimately adjust and put a halt to the Vikings success? For now, this team looks for real.

4. Pittsburgh Steelers
The Pittsburgh Steelers have been carried by an elite defense early on and an offense that's done just enough to win football games. If that's the priority in Pittsburgh this year, don't be surprised to see them with double-digit wins again. The second half of Pittsburgh's schedule is where things get interesting. We can likely see them being a playoff team again, but will they go start to finish as the leaders in the AFC North? We need to see more before we can claim that.
5. Seattle Seahawks
The Seattle Seahawks look like a team that can challenge for a postseason berth in the NFC. Under Ryan Grubb, the offense looks much more explosive, and the defense has shown signs of growth and improvement. With games against the Detroit Lions and San Francisco 49ers in two of the next three weeks, we'll get a much better idea of where the Seahawks stand.
