1. Quinnen Williams (2019)
Even though Anderson Jr. has shown the potential to eventually take over this spot one day, you must respect Quinnen Williams's name. Since entering the league, Williams has suited up for 74 games and been a defensive stalworth on the New York Jets defensive line. Williams has compiled 33 sacks and 157 solo tackles to date. Williams's impact on the Jets' defense does not go unnoticed, and he's on a trajectory toward being an all-time great at his position. It will take a lot for the Jets star to be unseated at the top here.
Quinnen Williams Defensive Player of the Year Odds: +6000

5. Trey Lance (2021)
It's hard to rank Trey Lance anywhere but last on this list. The talent is there, but he hasn't gotten the necessary reps as a starting quarterback in this league to judge him. If the Dallas Cowboys let Dak Prescott walk after this season and transition Lance into the starter's role, we'll better grasp who he is as an NFL player. For now, he's stuck in last with a chance to rise once the opportunity comes.
Dallas Cowboys Super Bowl Odds: +1300
4. Jeff Okudah (2020)
Although Jeff Okudah has had multiple homes in the NFL since he was drafted in 2020, we're not quite ready to throw in the towel with him yet. The former Ohio State Buckeye showed why he was selected third overall in his draft class last year, but the inconsistencies and injury concerns have hurt him. If Okudah can find some stability and stay in one place, the upside is still there for him to be an important part of a team's secondary.
Houston Texans Super Bowl Odds: +1500
3. Derek Stingley Jr. (2022)
Although his NFL career didn't start on a positive note with injuries, Derek Stingley Jr. had an excellent bounce-back campaign in 2023 and demonstrated why he was highly coveted at the top of the 2022 NFL Draft. Injuries have been a concern after playing just 20 games over his first two seasons, but he showed how impactful he can be after recording five interceptions in 11 games during 2023. If Stingley Jr. can stay on the field, it's hard not to like his future prospects in the league.
Houston Texans Super Bowl Odds: +1500
2. Will Anderson Jr. (2023)
After signing Okudah in the offseason, the Houston Texans now own three of the last five third-overall picks on their roster. The Texans selected Will Anderson Jr. with the third overall pick in 2023, highlighting a franchise-altering draft for them. Anderson Jr. had a strong rookie year and is a legitimate candidate for NFL Defensive Player of the Year. Anderson Jr. compiled seven sacks over his first 15 games, and his upside is real. Oddsmakers expect a complete breakout for Anderson Jr. in 2024, and we're on the same page.
Will Anderson Jr. Defensive Player of the Year Odds: +2500
