The New England Patriots are 9 and 2, number 1 seed, best team in the AFC. We've made that very clear. Has anybody taken a look yet at who they have played and who they are playing next? Give me my full screen, please, and let me change my glasses here so I can see what I'm looking at, OK? Let's just, oh, look at that. Let's just take a gander at who they've beaten and who they have coming up next. Now, we do it special here on the Craig Carton show. We don't show you who they beat. Eating, like what are we doing? We only show you that they won and what the score was. So these classes do nothing for me. Take them back off, put the stylish one back on, and the Tyronere week one. They beat the Raiders. Raiders, one of the worst teams in football. Go. Week 2, they beat the Dolphins. Dolphins are one of the worst teams in football. Go. Then they lost to the Steelers. OK, Steelers right now are still in first place in their division and barely over 500, but they are a winning team right now. Go. Yes, then they beat the Panthers. Panthers, one of the worst teams in football, don't have a quarterback. Yeah, they beat the Bills. OK. Buffalo Bills, that's a great win, not a good one, because that was kind of like the coming of age win for this particular Patriots franchise and it proved to everybody that they are for real. Go quick. And then it was the, uh, Titans, Titans that are the worst team in football. Oh sorry, Saints then Titans. Saints suck. Titans suck. They all suck. Here's the point of it. When you take a look at who the Patriots have beaten right now, the Steelers and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Bills are the only 3 teams they've beaten thus far that many records they played and they lost. Yes, OK. So the reality of that is what? All right, they have beaten up on bad teams, but that's what good teams do. If you look at the rest of their schedule, it's again, a collection of bad football teams, OK. Here's the reality. I think right now the New England Patriots are a mortal lock for 13 wins and might get to 14. It's on the table right now that there's only 1 more loss on their schedule. I think it's more likely it's 13 wins, but it's on the table to have one more loss. When it's all said and done. The New England Patriots will have beaten in a 17 game schedule two teams with a winning record because the Steelers look like a shell themselves. They're going downhill. We know Baltimore is on the come up right now, OK, right. Uh, we know Tampa's gonna finish over 500, uh, and the Buffalo Bills are gonna finish over 500 as well. They're nobody else. There's no one else. The Pittsburgh Steelers are not a locked to finish over 500. So the question then becomes, how good are the New England Patriots, right? That's the question we have to ask and I've got the answer. They're really good, but we don't know how good they are. And Tyrone and I were talking before the show. This year's Patriots team is starting to get the feel for me of last year's Lions team. Even last year's Minnesota Vikings team, when, now those teams had injuries which the Patriots don't have right now, but, you know, those teams went into the playoffs, winning 14 games, right? And the Lions got the first round by. Bang, lost to Washington. Minnesota had to travel to LA. Bang, lost to the Rams, round one. So before you get all cocky, and I respect it, if I was a Patriot fan, I'd be cocky and a loudmouth and obnoxious because I got the best team in the AFC. Do not rest on your laurels yet. The fair comment about New England is we just don't know. And it's not their fault. I want to be very clear about it. Vrabel's gonna be coach of the year. Drake May is doing great. Traveon Henderson might be the comeback player or the most improved player of the year, 3 touchdowns yesterday against the Jets, right? But the reality is that they haven't played anybody. They haven't. They're gonna have 2 total wins when the season's over. Against winning teams, 2, meaning 1011, 12 other wins are against losing teams that are not in the postseason. So I guess the question I have for all of you watching this, you're gonna comment on Twitter and Instagram and Facebook, where we're the number one most popular show in the land. How good are they? How could, like, am I anointing the the Patriots right now as the Super Bowl champions? If they played the Kansas City Chiefs in Foxboro today, would they even be favored? Right? If they played the Baltimore Ravens in a playoff game, would they be favored? Would Drake may be the better? Quarterback. And that's why I'm just cautioning you now. What's today's date? Let me check. Friday, November 14th. I think in the moment it cannot be argued that the Patriots are the best team, but I think it can be argued that they are one and done in the postseason.
