You know, taking a look at Riley Leonard, probably gonna be the starter now with Daniel Jones down for the Indianapolis Colts. Though he performed decently, and that's a guy coming in as a rookie, ice cold without much practice time and actually looked like he was the part. Then we find out that he has a knee injury, then word comes out, the Colts are planning to bring in Philip Rivers into the facility Tuesday to work out and see if he can join their practice squad to, I guess, ramp up at this point. My question's gonna be, Where the heck is Anthony Richardson? What the hell's going on? He hurt his eye sockets being cleared back, but they're not letting him work out here. I don't know what's going on with the Colts, but this was one of those teams 3 or 4 weeks ago. Can they be the number 1 seed in the AFC to now? I don't know if they're going to make the playoffs in the AFC. And Philip Rivers, who's 44 years old, looking to come back and make another Colts appearance. What an incredible story. Well, just when you thought that, you know, they, OK, Riley Leonard actually used his legs, kind of looked the part, uh, that maybe just maybe they'd be able to hold the foot, no, no, no, no. We learned last night on the pregame telecast, which might have been the funniest thing in the world, that Schefter comes on, and there's Aikman, right, there's Van Pelt, and when they busted out the news that Rivers is coming in for a trial. out. I literally thought Troy Aikman was gonna fall off the chair, and you knew it was coming. They're like, well, why didn't they call you Troy? Why, why not get you out there? That is the state of the quarterback position right now in the NFL, Donnie, where we're calling 44 year old grandfathers, grandfathers, uh, off the couch to see if maybe they can come and play quarterback. And I get it. At one point, what choice do you have? Like, leave no stone unturned, but are we really, uh, who's, there's nobody else, Donny. Nobody else that this team could have, they literally pushed all their chips in on the table to go and get sauce. Gardner, like they believed they had a shot at winning this AFC. Not with a 44-year-old Philip Rivers, you know.
