Cardinals Rally Past Cowboys as Dallas Suffers Another Ugly Home Loss
The Cowboys blew a 14-point fourth-quarter lead at home as Gardner Minshew came off the bench to rally the Arizona Cardinals. Arizona missed an extra point that could have won the game in regulation but ultimately prevailed 33-30 in overtime.
Dallas has now lost four consecutive home games when favored by six points or more. The Cardinals were getting between 6.5 and seven points, making Arizona the clear pick against the spread.
Jacoby Brissett did not provide a spark, but the game changed when Minshew entered. “Gardner Magic” may not always last long, but he was fun to watch as he rallied the team to victory.
The result raises more questions about Brian Schottenheimer’s future as head coach in Dallas, especially after Jerry Jones’ reaction following the game. Schottenheimer continues to lose big games, while Dak Prescott also faces major questions about the Cowboys’ direction.
It was bad enough for Dallas to lose to the Bucs at home. Now the Cowboys have fallen to an Arizona team that has consistently troubled them. CeeDee Lamb said before the game that he had never beaten the Cardinals in his career, and Dallas is now believed to be 1-11 over its last 12 games against Arizona.
