Jaer Alexander of the Philadelphia Eagles is stepping away from the game right now, I guess to get a mental clarity and getting a little bit healthier with his name. Here's the understanding, which, you know, always came through. Jerry Alexander was a really, really good football player for the Green Bay Packers. Top level cornerback paid like it and performed like it. But we always saw some of those snippets coming out where he is a little bit squirrely at times. But again, some of these NFL guys, you know, just say, look, this is They were superstars, they're a little bit off, you know, per se. But now we take a look at Jaer Alexander where he's gone from the Green Bay Packers and it's like, oh, offseason signing for the Baltimore Ravens, like, man, that's a good signing. If that works out and he's healthy, the Baltimore Ravens might have one of the most talented defenses in the NFL, maybe the best secondary. And it's like, well, wait a second. He's not playing, he's inactive, but he's healthy, but they're trying to get him right and all this goes down. And it's like something doesn't make sense. Dear Joe. Then he gets traded to the Philadelphia Eagles and all indications are, hey man, I'm feeling great. Go to get to Philadelphia. I practice right away with the thoughts of him starting against the Green Bay Packers, his former team, only to be led that the Eagles took a plane trip out to Green Bay, he wasn't included, and they said, look, too fast, too soon. Got to learn the system. We'll be back next week. Then the next round of information comes out. Jayer Alexander is stepping away from the NFL, Joe. And it's a total about-face, uh, Donnie, from when, you know, we just, when he was traded, they interviewed him there. And, I mean, even last Tuesday, uh, he was totally happy to have a shot to come to Philadelphia. He had a, he, he said, what? I wanted to prove myself. I, I can be what I know I am. He suggested he was healthier, uh, than he had. Been all season. He was born in Philadelphia, uh, Donnie, and, and his family is still there. So, you know, you're right. Once he didn't travel with the team, it didn't, it was all right, give him the benefit of the doubt. Maybe they're giving him a chance to get assimilated, but it kind of felt like, uh, there was something more to the story, and that's exactly what it turned out to be.
