Quarterback Injuries Create Uncertainty for Seattle in Week 9
Drew Locke was expected to replace Sam Darnold, who has a quad injury, but Jalen Milroe is now taking first-team snaps. Locke has been inactive for the past couple of weeks with his own injury issues, so Milroe could start at quarterback for the Seattle Seahawks.
Joe Milton could also start for the Eagles, while Shaddo Sanders remains part of the quarterback discussion. In Week 9, several teams could turn to quarterbacks making their first NFL starts.
The point spread for Arizona and Seattle suggests that Locke will play. Seattle being favored by 8.5 points would be difficult to envision with Milroe making his first career start. With Milroe, the spread might be closer to 6 or 6.5 points.
If Locke does not play, those who favor Arizona and want the points may want to act now. Based on the current line, however, the expectation is that Locke will start.
