Trevor Lawrence TNF Props & Coach of the Year Predictions

Segment Spotlight: Quick Hits From Outspoken With Dan Sileo

Trevor Lawrence Prop Leads Week 9 Picks as Coaching Race Takes Shape

Trevor Lawrence to avoid throwing an interception is the clear favorite pick for Week 9. He has been trending in the right direction and holds the top passer rating in the NFL.

Baltimore’s pressure has been hit or miss, with more misses lately. If Jacksonville runs away with the game as the 10-point spread suggests, Lawrence finishing without an interception looks even more appealing.

The Coach of the Year discussion could come down to Ben Johnson and John Harbaugh. Chicago is moving in the right direction after winning in Philadelphia with Case Keenum, while Harbaugh could strengthen his case by winning with his third quarterback.

Johnson’s influence on Caleb Williams also supports his candidacy. After completing 55% of his passes a year ago, Williams is now near 71%. Based on that improvement, Johnson could ultimately win Coach of the Year.

Liam Cohen also deserves credit for his influence on Lawrence. The quarterback endured a difficult beginning under Urban Meyer and later experienced some back-and-forth with Doug Peterson, but he has continued to improve each week.

Lawrence posted the best QBR of his career last year and now looks like the player many expected when he came out of Clemson. It may have taken six years, but he looks like the real deal, and Cohen deserves significant credit for helping him reach this point.
