Cowboys Favored Over Struggling Colts as Giants Get the Edge in Philadelphia
The Cowboys and Colts matchup looks like a battle between two dysfunctional teams. Dallas is coming off a poor performance against the Arizona Cardinals, while Indianapolis appears to have already waved the white flag.
Dallas is the pick by a hefty margin because the Cowboys are still actively trying to win. The Colts could move players such as Jonathan Taylor or Josh Downs, while Daniel Jones is not healthy or playing like an above-average quarterback.
That does not make Dallas a convincing team. The Cowboys blew last week’s game and have not put together consecutive wins all season. The prediction is less about buying Dallas and more about selling Indianapolis.
Meanwhile, the New York Giants enter Philadelphia as a road favorite for the first time in 17 years. With the total at 38.5, the game also has a chance to go under.
The Giants deserve to be favored. Philadelphia is making a quarterback change, dealing with health issues and has little on offense beyond Makai Lemon. The Giants are coming off the bye, although the running back position and Cam Scatabu’s hamstring injury remain worth watching.
The Giants are the preferred side, and a three-point spread may not be enough. Philadelphia has struggled to stop the run, creating a possibility that the Giants could rush for more than 200 yards.
