There have certainly been some promising moments from the youngster, but it's hard to get excited about the unknown with this goalie when there's more certainty with the names in front of him.

2) Jeremy Swayman - Boston Bruins

If you've watched Jeremy Swayman in the first two rounds of the Stanley Cup Playoffs and haven't been impressed, you probably need your eyes checked. Swayman willed the Bruins to a Round 1 victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs and gave the Panthers fits to kick off Round 2 in Game 1. Swayman's future is extremely bright in the NHL. 

3) Sergei Bobrovsky - Florida Panthers

After some questioned the big-ticket contract the Florida Panthers gave Sergei Bobrovsky, he's proven over the last two seasons that he's been worth every penny. Bobrovsky is right up there with the best goalies in the NHL, and he'll continue to be relied upon heavily in the Panthers' chase for their first Stanley Cup. 

4) Jake Oettinger - Dallas Stars

Jake Oettinger is an elite talent for the Dallas Stars but has struggled to find his game on a nightly basis this year. Oettinger was a big reason that the Stars were able to end the Vegas Golden Knights' dream of winning back-to-back Stanley Cups. If he can take his game to the level we know he's capable of, the Stars remain a very tough out.

5) Frederik Andersen - Carolina Hurricanes

Frederik Andersen has consistently been a strong goaltender for the Carolina Hurricanes during the regular season. Whether it's fatigue or nerves, the switch flips for him in the postseason, and he becomes much more mundane. The Hurricanes are on the brink of elimination, and although you can't single-handedly blame Andersen, he hasn't been part of the solution, either.

Here's where the tiers break off regarding the goalies remaining in the 2024 Stanley Cup Playoffs. Although Stuart Skinner has been strong at times this season for the Edmonton Oilers, the fact that you never really know what you'll get from him on a nightly basis is concerning for an Oilers team with Stanley Cup or bust aspirations. 

7) Alexandar Georgiev - Colorado Avalanche

The talent has always been there, but inconsistencies remain a massive issue for Colorado goalie Alexandar Georgiev. It's not hard to call their current starting netminder the Achilles heel to them potentially going on another Stanley Cup run.
