The 4 Nations Face-Off Round Robin concludes with Monday night’s tilt between the USA and Sweden. The Americans have already guaranteed themselves a spot in the Championship Game, but their opponent remains to be determined. The winner of Canada versus Finland has the inside track, but unless the victor emerges in regulation, it leaves the door open for Sweden to walk through the back door. Still, the Swedes need a regulation win over the USA to ensure a spot in Thursday’s finale.

Leg 1: USA 60-Minute Moneyline -188
By the time Sweden and the USA take to the ice, we’ll already know whether Sweden will have a shot at the Championship Game. One of two scenarios will play out. Either Sweden must sell out and win in regulation, or their fate will already be sealed. In either scenario, we foresee this game ending in regulation, with the States walking away victorious.
In the first scenario, one of Canada or Finland will have won in overtime, ending the tournament with four points. Having already lost to both countries in overtime, the Swedes must collect all three points in regulation to hold the championship tiebreaker. In the second scenario, one of those teams wins in regulation, meaning Sweden will be mathematically eliminated from contention.
Both of those outcomes play to the USA’s advantage. The Americans have been an unstoppable offensive force, tallying nine goals through the first two tournament games. Conversely, Sweden’s netminders have combined to stop just 83.7% of shots faced. However it plays out, we’re betting the States leave with the win.

Leg 2: Jake Guentzel Any Time Goal Scorer +240
The Americans continue to extract maximum value from every part of their roster, but one player has stood above the rest. Jake Guentzel leads the tournament with three goals while recording four points through the first two games. He’ll have ample opportunity to add to his total against Sweden.
Guentzel has been deployed with the States’ top playmakers. He’s been a regular on the powerplay and has skated next to Auston Matthews, Jack Eichel, and Jack Hughes. Those combinations have proven to be lethal, with the Tampa Bay Lightning forward delivering nine shots on targets and earning a 33.3% shooting percentage.
Those opportunities will continue to present themselves in Monday’s round-robin finale. Sweden has been outplayed in their first two games, getting out-chanced in both tilts. That’s a bad omen for a team taking on the tournament leaders on Monday.
Despite having a litany of elite players, Guentzel is the States’ trigger man. He’ll have more opportunities to produce against Sweden and is our preferred anytime goalscorer option.

Leg 3: Mika Zibanejad to Record 4+ Shots +470
Sweden’s demise has arisen from their ineffective play between the pipes. But that hasn’t stopped their offense from trying to offset those shortcomings. Mika Zibanejad has been one of the offensive leaders, and he should step up in Boston.
Zibanejad was Sweden’s most prolific producer on Saturday. The New York Rangers center tallied six shots on net against Finland, bumping his tournament total to eight. More importantly, Zibanejad’s analytics profile supports ongoing success. He’s averaging north of 20:00 minutes per game while skating on the team’s top line and powerplay.
We’re anticipating renewed success for Zibanejad against the Americans. At +470, we’re including him to record 4+ shots on Monday night.
