As the English Premier League continues its exciting run, the betting markets are in a flurry of activity. Several clubs are poised to make their claim to the title, but where is the smart money headed? Here’s our breakdown.

Arsenal started the season with opening odds of +800, and after seeing them briefly drop to +450, the Gunners now find themselves at +700. Clearly, bettors have confidence in this side, with a commanding 25.2% of all tickets and a whopping 31.0% handle, which leads all teams in both categories. Mikel Arteta‘s side has always been unpredictable, but the betting community sees potential in them claiming the title this season.
On the other hand, Liverpool opened their campaign at +750, and despite a minor blip, they’ve remained at +900 for the last two weeks. Their ticket% stands at 16.9% while their handle% is second in the league at 23.0%. Jurgen Klopp‘s men have the pedigree and a track record of success, making them a solid choice for many.
Manchester United have seen a significant shift in fortunes. Originally opening at +800, the Red Devils now find themselves way out at +2500. The 10.6% ticket% and 4.5% handle% indicate that faith in Erik ten Hag‘s side might be waning.
Meanwhile, Chelsea remains a dark horse. Despite opening at a lengthy +1400, their odds have hovered at +1600 for the past week. With a ticket% of 7.8% and a handle of 6.5%, it suggests that while there’s some interest, many are still cautious about Mauricio Pochettino‘s squad.
Newcastle United, always an unpredictable side, opened at +1400 and have since drifted out to +2000. Their ticket% and handle% stand at 7.8% and 4.7%, respectively. Whether they can surprise remains to be seen.
Finally, Pep Guardiola‘s Manchester City are the undeniable favorites. They had opening odds of -175, which has tightened further to -200. Despite this, their ticket% is only 7.6%, though the handle% stands strong at 20.0%. Smart money is clearly behind Sky Blues.
While Man City remains the bookie’s favorite, the betting public seems particularly keen on Arsenal’s chances this season. As always, the Premier League promises to deliver twists and turns, and the odds will continue to ebb and flow as the season progresses.
