PAC-12 Power Rankings Tiers Week 11: Huskies & Ducks a Cut Above

Tier V: Arizona State & California
The Arizona State Sun Devils and California Golden Bears are both just 1-5 in the league with only five wins total between the two of them. Arizona State has a lot of injuries and has scored less than any team in the league while Cal has the worst defense in the PAC-12.
Tier I: Washington & Oregon
The Washington Huskies and Oregon Ducks sit alone in tier one. The two played a classic game once this season and they seem destined to meet again in the PAC-12 Championship with a potential College Football Playoff bid on the line. The Huskies are currently fifth in the country and Oregon is sixth and playing as well as anyone.
Tier II: USC, Arizona, Oregon State & Utah
USC sits at 5-2 in the PAC-12 but the Trojans defense is abominable and they have losses to Washington and Utah, keeping them from tier one. Utah, Arizona State and Oregon State are all 4-2 in the league and all have clinched bowl-eligibility. The Wildcats have a win over Oregon State but lost to USC, the Beavers have a win over Utah but lost to Arizona and the Utes beat USC but lost to Oregon State. This tier is further away from the tier one than they are tier three.
Tier III: UCLA Bruins
UCLA is all alone in tier three. The Bruins are 6-3 but just 3-3 in the PAC-12 with wins over bottom half teams Washington State, Stanford and Colorado and losses to top-half team Arizona, Oregon State and Utah. The Bruins are the definition of average in 2023.
Tier IV: Stanford, Colorado & Washington State
The Colorado Buffaloes started well but are now just 4-5 and 1-5 in PAC-12 play. The only conference win was over bottom-dwelling Arizona State. Washington State started 4-0 but now ride a five-game losing streak. Stanford has been competitive and has won two conference games to elevate itself past the bottom tier.
