A Historic Venue and Rivalry
The 2024 Presidents Cup marks the 15th edition of the event, which was first held in 1994. This year, the competition returns to Royal Montreal Golf Club, which last hosted the Presidents Cup in 2007. That year, the U.S. team emerged victorious with a 19.5 to 14.5 win over the International team. The 2024 International team, led by Canadian captain Mike Weir, will look to avenge that loss. Weir has personal history at Royal Montreal, where he famously defeated Tiger Woods in their Sunday singles match during the 2007 event.
The U.S. team, captained by Jim Furyk, will be looking to continue their dominance, having won the last nine Presidents Cups, including a 17.5 to 12.5 victory in 2022 at Quail Hollow.
