Leg 1: Orioles ML
The Baltimore Orioles have only been about a .500 team over the last month, but we’re all over them tonight as we love the setting for tonight’s matchup with Zach Eflin on the mound against his old team on the road. In two starts with the O’s since being traded from the Rays, Eflin secured two wins, but he wasn’t flawless by any means. Still, we have a ton of confidence in the Orioles’ bats to capitalize against Zack Littell of the Rays, who struggled against the O’s in two starts previously this season. The O’s are also coming off a rough series against the Toronto Blue Jays, so we anticipate they’ll go into tonight’s game with extra motivation.
Leg 2: Zach Eflin 5+ Strikeouts
Zach Eflin has struck out at least five batters in just six of his last nine starts, but he’ll benefit from facing a Rays’ lineup that’s struck out at the fourth-highest clip in all of baseball collectively over the past week. He’ll want to make a statement against his club, and we have a ton of confidence that he’ll be in long enough to have every opportunity to rack up at least five strikeouts.
Leg 3: Gunnar Henderson 2+ Total Bases
Gunnar Henderson was held hitless across all three games with the Blue Jays this week, so we’re all over him to bounce back tonight. He’s an extra-base machine and has gone 5-10 in his career against Littell with three extra-base hits. A due hitter is dangerous, so we’re riding with him here.
Leg 4: Colton Cowser 1+ Hit
Colton Cowser has recorded a hit in 18 of his last 20 games, so what more is there to ask for here?
Leg 5: Brandon Lowe 2+ Total Bases
To close out our parlay, we’ll look to Brandon Lowe to punish his old teammate for at least two total bases. Lowe has been an extra-base machine as he’s recorded at least two total bases in seven of his last ten games, and he’s also sported a .318 batting average since the start of July.
