Jesus Matte of the Milwaukee Brewers, the youngest player in the top 10 at just 18 years old. If I could summarize him in one word, wouldn't it just be freak, freak? Yeah, his is the quickest hands I've seen from a prospect in a long time. Like where there's pitches running in on inside like up against his body and he somehow just whips the barrel out. It looks like he's swinging a wiffle ball bat sometimes, and you see it from both sides of the plate, which is the craziest part. I don't know if I can, like, I don't think I can fact check this, but I don't think there's another hitter. Like, I know he did this. I don't think there's another hitter in the minor leagues who posted a 110 mile per hour exit velocity from both sides of the plate, but that's what what Jesus Mane did. And mind you, he did that at 18 years old. He was 17 years old at the start of the season. To be able to already 6'1, 200 pounds, switch hitting. 18 year old be posting eggs of velocity north of 110 from both sides of the plate is bonkers. And what's crazy, the other part of it is he's still tapping into his potential here. I, I think there's more power, just, just as he optimizes his angles a little bit more. It's kind of a noisy operation that he gets away with because his hands are ridiculous. Uh, but as he cleans up the mechanics a little bit, I think you'll start to see him elevate the ball a bit more. The other part that's nuts to me is, in a season where he was 17 years old to start, he finished the year in AA and had some AA success. His last game of the year was a doubleA postseason game where he went deep. Like, he's gonna be 18 years old still at the start of the season. We'll be. Getting a second taste of AA in 2026. I don't know if he sticks it short, and if he moves over to second base, you know, I think he's gonna be one of the more dynamic, exciting second basemen in the game if it all works together. And that's why when I look at Jesus Made, I, I, again, this is one of the other few comps I'll throw out today. I can't escape the Gel Marte comp with him because they look so similar in the way that they operate. They're frame-defying juice and just how special they are from both sides of the plate.
