Best NBA Betting Picks for Sunday: 3-Game Parlay Predictions
Leg 1: LAL-POR Over 218.5
Where to Watch Los Angeles Lakers vs. Portland Trail Blazers
- Arena: Moda Center
- Location: Portland, OR
- Where to Watch: SportsNet
- Time: 3:30 p.m. ET
- Spread: POR -6 | Total: 218.5
- Moneyline: POR -220 | LAL +180
- Lakers vs. Trail Blazers Matchup Page
With the Pacific Division crown locked up and seemingly nothing left to play for, the betting market has taken a firm stance against the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday afternoon. The Lakers enter today’s showdown versus the Portland Trail Blazers as +6 road underdogs, with the total hovering around 218.5. Still, this total is well below where it should be sitting.
While the Lakers will be without most of their regulars in the regular season finale, they should still enjoy some offensive success. Portland has all but abandoned its defensive responsibility of late. Over their last 11 games, the Blazers have given up 109 or more points in all but two of those contests. Not surprisingly, opponents are averaging an above-average 116.1 points per game over that stretch.
Still, the Trail Blazers do the most on their opponents’ end. The Northwest Division also-rans have eclipsed 120 points in two of their last three, shooting 46.2% or better in both of those contests. Coming off a disastrous 86-point effort last time out, the Blazers are poised to bounce back versus LA’s backups.
The total has taken a bit of a hit, which reflects the Lakers’ anticipated lineup. Nevertheless, the point should flow naturally, with this Western Conference tilt eclipsing the total.

Leg 2: Jazz +23
Where to Watch Utah Jazz vs. Minnesota Timberwolves
- Arena: Target Center
- Location: Minneapolis, MN
- Where to Watch: FDSMN, KARE 11
- Time: 3:30 p.m. ET
- Spread: MIN -23 | Total: 232.5
- Moneyline: MIN -4000 | UTH +1550
- Jazz vs. Timberwolves Matchup Page
The Minnesota Timberwolves can avoid the dreaded play-in tournament but need a win and some help. While they should have no problem blowing past the Utah Jazz on Sunday, covering the +23 spread appears too challenging.
Minnesota has been a losing bet against the spread more often than not. Despite their winning record, the T-Wolves are just 39-41-1 ATS in 2024-25. They remain an assertive offensive team, but the Timberwolves’ defense has let them down over their recent schedule.
Over their last six games, four opponents have recorded 109 or more points, yielding a below-average 110.7 points per game. That plays into Utah’s offensive resurgence, in which the Jazz have averaged 122.5 points per game over their last four.
Utah has turned on the offensive jets recently, and they can maintain that surge against a faltering Timberwolves’ defense. It won’t be enough to pull off the outright upset, but the Jazz should be able to stay within 23 points to cover.
Leg 3: Pelicans +525
Where to Watch OKC Thunder vs. New Orleans Pelicans
- Arena: Smoothie King Center
- Location: New Orleans, LA
- Where to Watch: GCSEN, FDSOK
- Time: 3:30 p.m. ET
- Spread: OKC -12.5 | Total: 232.5
- Moneyline: OKC -750 | NOP +525
- Thunder vs. Pelicans Matchup Page
The Oklahoma City Thunder have locked up the top spot in the Western Conference, making Sunday’s regular season finale nothing more than a formality. The New Orleans Pelicans are steep home underdogs, and we like their chances of pulling off the outright upset.
Not surprisingly, the Thunder will have most of their regulars on the bench, preserving them for the playoffs. That puts them at a significant disadvantage when we already anticipated diminished scoring. OKC has exploded for 135.3 points per game over their last three. In doing so, they’ve raised their shooting percentage to an untenable 52.8% and put themselves on an inevitable path with regression.
Wins have been hard to come by for the Pelicans this season, but they aren’t going down without a fight. New Orleans is 5-3-2 ATS over its last 10, despite being double-digit underdogs in half of those contests. Further, 14 of their 21 wins this year have come within their friendly confines.
Playing against the Thunder’s reserve squad gives the Pelicans a much-needed advantage. The safe play takes them to cover the spread, but we can’t overlook their moneyline value. We’ll be invested in a Pelicans win when this one tips off in New Orleans.
