Bucks vs 76ers Predictions | NBA Picks Today, Best Bets

The NBA season is back, and we have a fun matchup tonight in the Eastern Conference between two contenders as the Milwaukee Bucks will hit the road to face the short-handed Philadelphia 76ers. Joel Embiid and Paul George have already been ruled out for tonight’s game, but it should still be a fun battle between hopeful contenders, so here is everything you need to know for the night ahead as well as our best bets and top props.

Bucks vs 76ers Best ATS Bet: 76ers +3.5

Being without Embiid and George in the home opener is deflating for the 76ers, who enter their most anticipated season in over a decade. Still, all the 76ers care about is being healthy in April. Luckily, Daryl Morey has finally put together a deep roster built not to collapse when without their stars. Tyrese Maxey is a stud, and a rotation headlined by Kelly Oubre Jr., Caleb Martin, and Andre Drummond is certainly serviceable. For Milwaukee, I need to see it to believe it after its disastrous collapse in the backend of last season. They don’t deserve to lay 3.5 points on the road currently. The 76ers will be amped up for this game, and Nick Nurse will have his players ready to fill the void Embiid and George leave behind.

Bucks vs 76ers Best Total Bet: OVER 224

If we’re going to back the 76ers to keep this game close and cover the spread, it will have to be by a strong offensive outing. They can’t beat the Bucks with who they’ll have on the floor in a low-scoring defensive slugfest. Maxey and Oubre should be able to put together solid scoring outings, and I trust Nick Nurse to piece together the rest of the points. Looking at the Bucks, while I’m not bullish on their offense overall, I won’t bet against Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard against a 76ers team without their two best defensive players. Plus, who doesn’t love to sweat out an over?

76ers Top Prop: Kelly Oubre Jr. OVER 17.5 Points

Maxey will be a popular bet tonight for obvious reasons, but looking back at last season’s splits with and without Embiid on the floor, Maxey didn’t necessarily see an overwhelming uptick in volume. Kelly Oubre Jr. did see an increase, though, so we’ll look to his over at 17.5 for tonight’s game. Outside of Maxey and Oubre Jr., the 76ers don’t showcase a real offensive threat, and I already anticipate the Bucks “letting" Oubre beat them. At +150, we also see value in him to score at least 20.

Bucks Top Prop: Damian Lillard 4+ Threes (+110)

The 76ers will be weak defensively tonight without Paul George’s presence on the wing, and I anticipate the Bucks wanting to get Damian Lillard going from deep after a tumultuous campaign last season. At +110, we know he’s fully capable of draining four shots from beyond the arc whenever he feels like it. I’m sure he’ll relish the opportunity of playing on national television like he always does. Maxey isn’t a real defensive threat to slow down Dame so we could see a shootout between the two star guards.
