Lakers vs Bucks Thursday Prediction | NBA Picks Today, Best Bets

The Los Angeles Lakers are set for a Thursday night showdown against the Milwaukee Bucks. Los Angeles heads into this matchup looking to snap a two-game losing streak without LeBron James as he continues to recover from a groin injury he suffered in Saturday night’s loss to the Boston Celtics. Meanwhile, the Bucks are dealing with their own struggles, heading into battle on a three-game losing streak. With both squads desperately needing a win, expect a dogfight.

Lakers vs Bucks Best Bet: Lakers +7
Los Angeles heads into this matchup as the underdog as the team continues to navigate a laundry list of an injury report. Although the odds seem stacked against them, they should not be counted out, especially with Milwaukee’s recent struggles. If the Lakers’ supporting cast can put together solid production alongside Luka Doncic, JJ Redick’s squad could steal a win on the road. Even then, a loss by less than seven points is more than plausible as well.
Lakers vs Bucks Best Total Bet: Under 225.5
Both teams have the firepower to turn this matchup into a shootout. However, with both sides dealing with injuries, it won’t be a shock to see the total score of this battle end under the 225.5-point set total. A final score of 114-108 seems like a realistic outcome.
Lakers Best Player Bet: Luka Doncic 10+ Assists +124
Luka Doncic continues to get more comfortable with his new team, and a large part of it is due to Redick’s trust in the Slovenian superstar to run the offense through him already. Even without James on the court, Doncic has improved the players around him, just as he did during his time in Dallas. With 10+ assists in three of his last four games, I’ll take the odds the playmaker has another strong night as a scorer and facilitator.
Bucks Best Player Bet: Kyle Kuzma 2+ Threes +126
Kyle Kuzma recently joined the Bucks before the NBA trade deadline, but he gets the chance to compete against the team that drafted him. The forward is one of the streakiest scorers in the league. He can either give you ten points on inefficient shooting or explode for 30+ points on any given night. However, Kuzma does not want to stop shooting even when his shots aren’t falling. Assuming the Bucks’ wing enters this matchup looking to put forth his best effort against the team that traded him first, I like the chance he makes at least two threes before the game ends.
