9) Zach LaVine, Chicago Bulls
Zach LaVine was not shy about wanting to be moved from the Chicago Bulls before the season began. Between his bizarre interviews, lackluster play, and comments from his team, the guard may be one of the more likely candidates to be traded this offseason. Nonetheless, LaVine is undoubtedly talented, and if he lands with an organization that can maximize his skillset and give him a chance to contend, he could be a steal for a team that is brave enough to trade for him.

Ranking the Top NBA Players Who Could Be Traded This Summer
The NBA offseason is quickly approaching, and with many teams looking to make changes ahead of next season, some big names could be on the move. Whether it be the big fish or top role players, this offseason has the makings to be one of the busiest in a while. With that said, these names could suit up in new threads next year.
1) Devin Booker, Phoenix Suns
Devin Booker is a name that likely won’t be moved, but considering how the Suns season ended, anything could happen. Phoenix will be in the market to make moves in the offseason, and new owner Matt Ishbia didn’t seem keen on moving his star guard. But if teams call and make an offer, Phoenix general manager James Jones may be inclined to at least listen.
NBA Championship 2024-25 Winner Odds: Suns +3500
2) Trae Young, Atlanta Hawks
Trae Young may be one of the biggest dominoes that the league will be waiting to fall in the offseason. Near this season's deadline, rumors spread that the Hawks could be looking to separate their backcourt and potentially consider parting with their All-Star and heading towards a complete rebuild with the first overall pick. If Young is made available, he’ll garner much interest with his ability to score and facilitate at a high level.

3) Donovan Mitchell, Cleveland Cavaliers
Donovan Mitchell will be another big name to monitor heading into the offseason. The Cleveland Cavaliers star is due for an extension, and there have been mixed reports about whether or not Mitchell and his camp plan to stay in Cleveland and re-sign. Suppose Mitchell foregoes contract talks and waits to be an unrestricted free agent next offseason. In that case, insiders have suggested that the Cavs front office would trade Mitchell and get a return rather than risk him leaving for nothing.

4) Brandon Ingram, New Orleans Pelicans
Brandon Ingram may not be a name many expected during the season, but as the offseason nears, Ingram has been mentioned more and more in trade talks. The Pelicans hope to surround Zion Williamson with talented players that suit his style of play better than his current running mate. While the versatile forward hasn’t fully lived up to the hype out of college, he’s been solid in New Orleans. The 26-year-old averaged 20.8 points, 5.7 assists, and 5.1 rebounds this past season with the Pelicans. Ingram will have a big market if it is made available.

5) Julius Randle, New York Knicks
Julius Randle has emerged as a star since signing with the Knicks in 2019. The former Kentucky star has developed into a force to be reckoned with on both sides of the floor. Unfortunately, Randle’s season came to an end with a shoulder injury. And while it’s not guaranteed that the forward will be moved this offseason, with New York being aggressive and looking to get over the hump, if a big fish is made available, it wouldn’t be a shock to see Randle included in a package to pair Jalen Brunson alongside another superstar.
NBA Championship 2024-25 Winner Odds: Knicks +1600
6) Dejounte Murray, Atlanta Hawks --> New Orleans Pelicans
Dejounte Murray was the other Atlanta Hawks star who could be on his way out of Atlanta this offseason. Murray was traded to ATL two offseasons ago following his impressive stint with the San Antonio Spurs. The Hawks hoped the addition of the star guard would allow the team to get over the hump, but since making the move, Atlanta has made one first-round appearance in the 2023 playoffs and missed the postseason altogether this year. Add Murray could be one of the more underrated moves by the New Orleans Pelica.
NBA Championship 2024-25 Winner Odds: Hawks +10000 | Pelicans +3500
7) Mikal Bridges, Brooklyn Nets --> New York Knicks
Mikal Bridges's name has been in trade rumors since he joined the Nets as part of a deal that sent Kevin Durant to Phoenix. While Brooklyn opted to stand pat, giving Bridges an entire year with the team Sean Marks pulled the trigger on a trade ahead of the 2024 NBA Draft. The only surprise--to some--is the Nets helped the hated New York Knicks, while Leon Rose completes the Nova Knicks transformation at Madison Square Garden. The Knicks move up the championship contender rankings and the Nets aid an immediate start to a rebuild.
NBA Championship 2024-25 Winner Odds: Nets +100000 | Knicks +85
8) Jalen Green, Houston Rockets
Jalen Green was drafted as the No. 2 overall pick in 2021. The former G-League star has shown flashes of the potential that got him drafted so high, but with Houston in win-now mode, Green’s name has been brought up in trade talks looking for an immediate impact player. Nonetheless, the 22-year-old averaged 19.6 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 3.5 assists this past season, so if made available, he could be a massive steal for another team.
NBA Championship 2024-25 Winner Odds: Rockets +15000
