The NCAA Tournament is just around the corner, with Selection Sunday only two days away! Today is a massive day for conference tournaments as every major conference and several mid-major tournaments careen toward a conclusion. It can be hard to know how to approach these conference tournament games with such quick turnarounds for teams and new injury issues cropping up after yesterday’s action.
We’ve covered you with our favorite plays from Friday’s showdowns!
Oregon vs Michigan State
- Location: Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, IN
- Time: Friday, March 14 at 12:00 p.m. | Where to Watch: BTN
- Spread: Michigan State (-6.5) | Moneyline: Oregon +210/Michigan State -260 | Total: 142.5
Best Bets: Michigan State -6.5 and Michigan State -260
The Michigan State Spartans are the No. 1 seed in the Big Ten Tournament and get their tourney started with a clash against red-hot Oregon. The Ducks knocked off Indiana with a strong close to the game, and few coaches are better than Dana Altman in March. Still, the SportsGrid model loves the Spartans in this game. Michigan State is favored by 6.5 points, but the model has the Spartans winning this one by a whopping 13 points, doubling the spread and winning the game nearly 85% of the time, making the moneyline one of the best bets!
Ole Miss vs Auburn
- Location: Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, TN
- Time: Friday, March 14 at 1:00 p.m. | Where to Watch: ESPN
- Spread: Auburn (-12.5) | Moneyline: Ole Miss +580/Auburn -880 | Total: 156.5
Best Bets: Auburn -12.5
The Ole Miss Rebels won on a buzzer-beating three-pointer yesterday to advance to a matchup with the vaunted Auburn Tigers. The Tigers are favored by 12.5 points in this game, but the model does not think that is near enough. SportsGrid projects Auburn to win this matchup by 24 points and easily cover the hefty spread. This is a rematch of a game played just a couple of weeks ago, in which the Tigers beat the Rebels by 30 points at home. Auburn is coming off two straight losses to close the regular season and should be hungry to get back on track in Nashville.

North Carolina vs Duke
- Location: Spectrum Center in Charlotte, NC
- Time: Friday, March 14 at 7:00 p.m. | Where to Watch: ESPN
- Spread: Duke -6.5 | Moneyline: UNC +240/Duke -300 | Total: 152.5
Best Bets: Duke -6.5
The North Carolina Tar Heels enter Friday’s matchup with rival Duke squarely on the bubble. They beat Wake Forest but still only have one Quad 1 victory and desperately need a marquee win to bolster their resume. Duke will likely play without star Cooper Flagg, but his absence gives bettors a significant value opportunity. The Blue Devils are now favored by only 6.5 points, but the SportsGrid model has them as a five-star bet to win this game by more than 21 points and easily cover that spread. North Carolina has struggled against good teams all season and has not been competitive against the Blue Devils in either matchup this campaign. The Blue Devils are an easy pick here.
