Colbie Young Gives UGA Nice Red Zone Option
With some turnover in the Bulldogs' wide receiver room, they needed to prioritize adding weapons that could contribute in the red zone. During his Georgia debut, Colbie Young did exactly that, catching a key touchdown pass from Carson Beck for their first score of the 2024 season. If the Bulldogs are to stabilize the offensive success they found last year, they'll need the likes of Young to contribute, and he did precisely that in a critical spot in Week 1 vs. Clemson.

Carson Beck is Steady as Ever
If the Georgia Bulldogs win their third national championship in four years, they'll need quarterback Carson Beck to continue being an elite signal-caller and Heisman candidate. Beck had some growing pains in the first half of Week 1 against Clemson but was back to his old dominant self for the final stretch run of the game. Beck finished with 278 passing yards and a pair of touchdowns in their 34-3 Week 1 victory over the Tigers.
Nate Frazier has the Juice
Despite Trevor Etienne and Roderick Robinson II not suiting up for the Bulldogs running back room in Week 1, they still had a breakout performance in their backfield. Nate Frazier stole the show, rushing for 83 yards on 11 carries and a touchdown. Frazier showed some serious bursts in the Bulldogs' backfield, and this performance should help solidify his role as a critical component in their running back room moving forward.
Mike Bobo Adjustments Lead to Big Win
It was a solid defensive effort from the Georgia Bulldogs and Clemson Tigers in the first half of Week 1, which ended with UGA leading 6-0. The Bulldogs offense couldn't quite muster up a complete drive. That changed after some solid second-half adjustments from offensive coordinator Mike Bobo. The Bulldogs picked up the pace in the second half and moved the football easily, tallying 28 points. Bobo remains a bright spot with his play calling for Georgia.

Malaki Starks Leads Path of Best Safety in Country
Even before this outstanding showing against Clemson in Week 1, safety Malaki Starks was already in the conversation for the top safety in college football. With an outstanding interception in Week 1, Starks highlighted his elite ball skills and overall importance to the Bulldogs defense. With more showings like this, Starks may creep into the top 10 selections of the 2025 NFL Draft.
