Texas Longhorns

The Longhorns couldn't get anything to work on Saturday night offensively. Defensively, there were some bright spots, but dropping a crucial game at home leaves a bitter taste. 

SEC Week 8 Grade: C

Tennessee Volunteers

It didn't always look pretty for the Tennessee Volunteers on Saturday afternoon. A win is a win, and the Volunteers needed one badly in this rivalry clash. 

SEC Week 8 Grade: A-

Alabama Crimson Tide

It wasn't exactly a poor showing from the Crimson Tide, but they've typically found themselves come out on top in these matchups. Not anymore, apparently. 

SEC Week 8 Grade: B-

LSU Tigers

The LSU Tigers didn't let an emotional win last week hinder their performance against a talented Arkansas team. Full marks for a strong performance. 

SEC Week 8 Grade: A

Arkansas Razorbacks

This was another big test for the Arkansas Razorbacks. They didn't pass it this time, but it's still been a successful year to this point.

Texas A&M Aggies

It wasn't an overly dominant showing from the Aggies, but there remains a lot to like about this program in 2024.

Mississippi State Bulldogs

The Mississippi State Bulldogs have found a recipe to stay in football games of late. Baby steps for a rebuilding program.

Missouri Tigers

Yes, the Missouri Tigers picked up the victory in Week 8 over Auburn. The Tigers performance wasn't pretty, and there's still real concerns about this program.

Auburn Tigers

The Auburn Tigers had Missouri on the ropes on Saturday. With a better performance in the second half, we'd have been raving about Auburn in Week 8.

Florida Gators

Hand up, I haven't given the Florida Gators credit for how well their offense has performed of late. A dominant showing against a strong Kentucky defense put the SEC on notice. 

SEC Week 8 Grade: A

Kentucky Wildcats

To say it was a very disappointing showing from the Kentucky Wildcats in Week 8 would be an understatement. You can't allow nearly 50 points to the Florida Gators in 2024. 

SEC Week 8 Grade: C-

Vanderbilt Commodores

After some real promising performances from the Vanderbilt Commodores leading up to this clash against Ball State, we simply expected more from the home side. 

SEC Week 8 Grade: B-

South Carolina Gamecocks

The South Carolina Gamecocks have continued to exceed expectations in 2024. A superb showing against the Sooners helps raise their prospects in the SEC.

Oklahoma Sooners

It was a very gross showing from the Oklahoma Sooners in Week 8 at home against the South Carolina Gamecocks. As a program, it's been a giant disappointment for Oklahoma this year.
