With what we've seen through 14 weeks, the Detroit Lions are the clear top team in football. Whether or not they can keep this level up with the amount of injuries they have on defense remains to seen. For now, the Lions are a serious threat to get back to the NFC Championship Game and win it all.

Kansas City Chiefs
Until proven otherwise, I'm not counting out Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs control their own destiny to have the AFC bracket run through Arrowhead. That could be a problem for the rest of the conference. Still, even though the Chiefs have only suffered one loss this year, they seem more vulnerable than in previous seasons.

I'll put my hand up, the Philadelphia Eagles have surprised me this year. I didn't think they'd put together a stretch with nine straight wins on their schedule this year. The Eagles can run the football and play quality defense. That's a recipe for success in January.
