Undefeated: Predicting the 1st NFL Loss
Predicting the 1st Loss for the NFL's 3 Remaining Undefeated Teams

Three NFL teams remain undefeated, but staying perfect all season is one of the league’s toughest challenges. Here’s a look at each undefeated team as we move into Week 7 of the NFL season. We’re looking ahead at each team’s schedule to predict the matchup that will hand them their first loss.
Minnesota Vikings (5-0)
The Minnesota Vikings are off to an impressive 5-0 start and now hold sole possession of first place in the NFC North. The Vikings defense has been the league's best so far this season, allowing just 64 points in the first five games, 42 since Week 1.

Minnesota Vikings Team Profile:
- Head Coach: Kevin O’Connell
- Offensive Coordinator: Wes Phillips
- Defensive Coordinator: Brian Flores
- Stadium: U.S. Bank Stadium
Vikings' First Loss: November 1st at Lions (Week 8)

The Vikings offense has struggled this season, squeaking by the Miami Dolphins with just 15 points and an offense near the bottom of the leage. Detroit’s offense is more explosive, among the best the NFL has the best to offer. This divisional matchup will be Minnesota’s toughest test of the season, and I expect the Lions to win a high-scoring shootout.

Minnesota Vikings Remaining Games
- Week 7: vs. Indianapolis Colts
- Week 8: at Detroit Lions
- Week 9: vs. Buffalo Bills
- Week 10: at Green Bay Packers
- Week 11: at San Francisco 49ers
- Week 12: vs. Atlanta Falcons
- Week 13: vs. Carolina Panthers
- Week 14: at New England Patriots
- Week 15: vs. Detroit Lions
- Week 16: vs. Washington Commanders
- Week 17: at New York Jets
- Week 18: vs. Chicago Bears
San Francisco 49ers (6-0)
The San Francisco 49ers are 6-0, with four double-digit wins over the Rams, Dolphins, Commanders, and Broncos. The 49ers offense has scored 177 points. Brock Purdy, Christian McCaffrey, and George Kittle will look to stay healthy and lead the 49ers back to the Super Bowl.

San Francisco 49ers Team Profile
- Head Coach: Kyle Shanahan
- Offensive Coordinator: Klay Kubiak
- Defensive Coordinator: Raheem Morris
- Stadium: Levi’s Stadium
49ers' First Loss: November 29th at Seahawks (Week 12)

The 49ers really struggled with the Seahawks last year, getting dominated 41-6 in the NFC divisional round. While San Fran came out on top again in their Week 5 divisional matchup, we don't see a clean sweep. Remember the 49ers allowed 116 yards and three rushing touchdowns to Kenneth Walker in that playoff game, and Seattle will look for the same success with rookie Jadarian Price later in the season.

San Francisco 49ers Remaining Games
- Week 7: at Atlanta Falcons
- Week 8: BYE
- Week 9: vs. Las Vegas Raiders
- Week 10: at Dallas Cowboys
- Week 11: vs. Minnesota Vikings
- Week 12: vs. Seattle Seahawks
- Week 13: at New York Giants
- Week 14: vs. Los Angeles Rams
- Week 15: at Los Angeles Chargers
- Week 16: at Kansas City Chiefs
- Week 17: vs. Philadelphia Eagles
- Week 18: at Arizona Cardinals
Kansas City Chiefs (5-0)
The Kansas City Chiefs are 5-0 and looking to bounce back after missing the playoffs last year for the first time since 2014. Patrick Mahomes is fully recovered from his torn ACL, and the Chiefs have scored 30+ points in three of the first five games.

Kansas City Chiefs Team Profile
- Head Coach: Andy Reid
- Offensive Coordinator: Eric Bieniemy
- Defensive Coordinator: Steve Spagnuolo
- Stadium: Arrowhead Stadium
Chiefs' First Loss: October 25th at Seahawks (Week 7)

The Chiefs head to Seattle in Week 7 to face the reigning Super Bowl Champions on Sunday Night Football. Patrick Mahomes and the offense will face an elite Seahawks defense that has allowed 17 points or fewer in three of six games. I expect Sam Darnold and the Seahawks to outlast the Chiefs in this exciting primetime matchup.

Kansas City Chiefs Remaining Games
- Week 7: at Seattle Seahawks
- Week 8: at Denver Broncos
- Week 9: vs. New York Jets
- Week 10: at Atlanta Falcons
- Week 11: vs. Arizona Cardinals
- Week 12: at Buffalo Bills
- Week 13: at Los Angeles Rams
- Week 14: at Cincinnati Bengals
- Week 15: vs. New England Patriots
- Week 16: vs. San Francisco 49ers
- Week 17: at Los Angeles Chargers
- Week 18: vs. Las Vegas Raiders
