Uh, Joe Burrow, you may have heard at a press conference earlier this week, talking about how he's not having fun anymore. Quote, if I want to keep doing this, I have to have fun doing this. I've been through a lot. If it's not fun, then what am I doing it for? My first reaction to that when I heard him say it, uh, you know what, let me just play it for you first, so you hear it out of his own words. So I'm not paraphrasing here. Here's Joe Burrow earlier this week. Go ahead. If I wanna keep doing this, I have to have fun doing it. are You know, I've been through a lot and if it's not fun, then what am I doing it for? I just stop it there. Answer the money. That that's what you're doing it for. You got the wealthiest contract in the history of football when you signed it. Yeah, you have over $200 million guaranteed coming your way to play quarterback in the NFL. If that's not fun, I don't know what is. Now, I'm sure you're frustrated. You know, the Cincinnati Bengals got to a Super Bowl and have done a bad job putting better players around you or to protect you on the offensive line. The defense. has stunk throughout your career there, so I understand why it's frustrating, and I understand that losing sucks. But to be fair, you've also been an absentee quarterback for a good portion of your career. How many games has he missed thus far in year 6? I think 21 games. Yeah, you've missed a season and a half of football, uh, in 5.5 years. So you also have to take some accountability for the fact. That's not your fault, but you have suffered a lot of injuries that have, uh, precluded you from playing football, right? They're a better, they're a better team when he plays, and he doesn't, and he doesn't play monster doesn't play, but he doesn't play often enough. He's a top 3 quarterback when he plays, but that is the problem, you know, the old cliche, what's the greatest ability of all? Aavailability, right? So this is not a referendum on his ability. He's a badass quarterback. But when I first saw this, because I went through an evolution of this, OK, my first thought was, screw you, Joe Burrow. Like, what are you complaining about? You're dating a hot, thin model, right? Everyone adores you. You've been to a Super Bowl. You've got $200 million guaranteed coming in. You bought the freaking Batmobile. Life is pretty good, I would think, if you're Joe Burrow, but wah, I'm not having fun, and wah, if I'm not having fun, then what am I doing this for? You're doing it because you got 200 million guaranteed. You bought the batmobile and you're dating a hot thin model. That's what you're doing it for. The thin part keeps coming up, yeah, because we, you know, SI now thinks, you know, there's a place for fat models too. Which is another, I shouldn't have brought, so I want to make the point. He dates the thick ones. I like, I like, we, we love all the women on this program. Yes, we like all the women. We don't fat shame at all, except in Victoria's Secret. We don't need fat girls. Well, that's another sorry about that. All right, here's the deal. So my first reaction was screw you. Like you're living this gilded life that the rest of us would dream to live, and you're not happy. Oh, and I wanted to attack because I'm like, you know, we talk about a guy completely out of touch with the common man or like the hardworking blue-collar Bengal fan that spends all of his paycheck to watch you play football and it means something to him, and I was just going to attack, attack, attack. But because my brain has evolved at a level that most aren't. Most like a fit model right to that, yeah, right. Like my brain is at just a higher level of evolution than most people's brains, you know. Most people just attack Joe Burrow. You're completely out of touch, screw you. If you don't like it, give the money back, you know, I hear that. I, I got voices in my head that wanna go in that direction as well. You're not going to. I'm not gonna do that because my evolved brain now sees this as an opportunity. What Joe Burrow is saying without saying it, because remember he wanted to go to Cincinnati, Ohio kid, you know, all that stuff, right? And he's been great with that. I'm good, what Joe Burrow really meant when you heard those quotes, uh, earlier this week was, I'm done being a Bengal, that it's not fun being the quarterback of the Cincinnati Bengals.
