Seattle Kraken
The Seattle Kraken weren't afraid to take a falling Shane Wright in the 2022 NHL Draft, and we suspect they wouldn't be scared to do the same with Ivan Demidov. Sure, it's very different circumstances, and with all things being equal, the Kraken would likely select a defenseman here. If Demidov did drop to the back half of the top 10, it's hard to see the Kraken not being interested.

Chicago Blackhawks
It's all but a certainty that the San Jose Sharks select Macklin Celebrini with the first overall pick in the 2024 NHL Draft. The draft essentially starts with the second overall pick, which is held by the Chicago Blackhawks. It appears as though the Blackhawks are currently leaning toward Michigan State defenseman Artyom Levshunov, but nothing is set in stone. Demidov offers a dynamic weapon to pair with budding superstar Connor Bedard, which makes this a tough decision for general manager Kyle Davidson.
Anaheim Ducks
It's hard to get a read on where the Anaheim Ducks stand. It appears as though general manager Pat Verbeek would like to add some size his backend, which could hinder them from selecting Ivan Demidov. Still, the talented Russian winger offers a tantalizing mix to their forward group up front, and it would be a surprise if they didn't at least strongly consider him at third overall.
Montreal Canadiens
It's no secret that the Montreal Canadiens are missing a high-end offensive talent like Ivan Demidov in their system. Depending on how the top five in the 2024 NHL Draft plays out, the Canadiens might just have that opportunity at fifth overall. The way the winds are currently blowing ahead of the draft, the Canadiens would be happy if one of Demidov or Cayden Lindstrom were on the board here. The Canadiens might have a preference to the big center, but he could very well be off the board from Columbus or Anaheim in front of them.

Ottawa Senators
As the Ottawa Senators continue to try and turn the corner in their rebuild, it wouldn't be hard to envision them taking a chance on a falling Ivan Demidov at seventh overall. Demidov brings game breaking skill to the equation, and he's exactly the type of prospect that could help the Senators break out of their current funk and take the next step. Steve Staios might prefer to select a defenseman here, but it would be hard to pass up the prospects of Demidov.
