The player lineups for the 2023 AT&T WNBA All-Star Game were chosen by A’ja Wilson of the Las Vegas Aces and Breanna Stewart of the New York Liberty as team captains.

The first pick of the draft went to Wilson, who chose her fellow Las Vegas Aces player, Chelsea Gray. Stewart followed by selecting Brittney Griner from the Phoenix Mercury as the second overall pick. A comprehensive list of all the selections from the WNBA All-Star Team Selection event can be found below.

The much-anticipated 2023 AT&T WNBA All-Star Game, pitting Team Wilson against Team Stewart, is set to take place on Saturday, July 15, at the Michelob Ultra Arena in Las Vegas. This will be the 19th WNBA All-Star Game and will be broadcast live on ABC at 5:30 p.m. PT/8:30 p.m. ET.

On June 25, the All-Star starting players – chosen by fans, current WNBA athletes, and media – were announced. Wilson and Stewart emerged as the official team captains due to amassing the highest number of fan votes among the starters.

The All-Star rosters for the 2023 AT&T WNBA were formed by Wilson and Stewart, selecting from a pool of players who were voted in as starters and reserves. The player’s conference affiliation or position did not factor into their selection. The draft’s first round saw Wilson and Stewart pick from the remaining eight All-Star Game starters, while the 12 reserves were picked in the second round.

As the player with the most fan votes, Wilson had the privilege of making the first selection in the first round (Starters), while Stewart was given the first choice in the second round (Reserves). The captains alternated their picks in each round until all the players were chosen, and no trades were allowed during the draft process.

The Las Vegas Aces’ Head Coach Becky Hammon and her coaching team will steer Team Wilson, while Connecticut Sun Head Coach Stephanie White and her coaching staff will lead Team Stewart. Team Wilson will don black uniforms, and Team Stewart will be decked out in orange.
