T10 | Boise State at Memphis | O/U 60.5 |
1. USC at Colorado (O/U 73.5)
We lead with an intriguing matchup between the USC Trojans and Colorado Buffaloes. It’s not a mystery why the Trojans are featured in a game with such a high total, considering they are averaging a national best 55 PPG and are led by Heisman winner Caleb Williams. Deion “Coach Prime” Sanders will look to pick his team up after last week’s beatdown at the hands of the Oregon Ducks in a bounce-back opportunity for Shedeur Sanders against a struggling USC defense.
2. Washington at Arizona (O/U 69.5)
Kalen DeBoer‘s Washington Huskies are averaging 49.8 PPG, led by Heisman contender Michael Penix Jr., averaging 409 passing yards per game while throwing 16 touchdowns and two interceptions. The Huskies are averaging nearly 593.3 total yards per game and face an Arizona Wildcats team with a quarterback controversy on their hands after Jayden de Laura injured his ankle late in a near-disaster 21-20 win over the Stanford Cardinal.
T3. LSU at Ole Miss (O/U 62.5)
The last time the LSU Tigers played a Mississippi school, they hung 41 points and 530 total yards on the Mississippi State Bulldogs. Brian Kelly and company are expected to be in a high-scoring game against the Ole Miss Rebels, who are averaging 42 PPG but coming off a 24-10 loss to the Alabama Crimson Tide.
T3. Coastal Carolina at Georgia Southern (O/U 62.5)
Clay Helton‘s Georgia Southern Eagles have one of the Group of Five’s best offenses and will look for a strong showing at home after averaging 480 total yards per game to start the year. Quarterback Davis Brin threw for 344 yards and four touchdowns last week to set up an interesting quarterback duel with Grayson McCall.
T3. Texas State at Southern Miss (O/U 62.5)
G.J. Kinne‘s first year as head coach of the Texas State Bobcats has been about as fun as anticipated. The Bobcats are 3-1 while averaging 41.8 PPG and will look to continue that offensive success against a Southern Miss Golden Eagles defense that has regressed to 36.2 PPG allowed in 2023.
T3. South Carolina at Tennessee (O/U 62.5)
The fourth game on the slate, with a total of 62.5, takes us back to SEC country. Spencer Rattler is off to a terrific start, completing 74.2% of his passes for 9.7 yards per attempt while tossing seven touchdowns with just two interceptions. Josh Heupel‘s Tennessee Volunteers have taken a big step back but are still averaging 35 PPG and 463.5 total yards per game.
T7. Kansas at Texas (O/U 61.5)
Lance Leipold has breathed fresh life into this program, and the Kansas Jayhawks are 4-0 while posting 37.8 PPG. Jalon Daniels will battle Quinn Ewers in a fantastic quarterback duel between two undefeated teams. Steve Sarkisian has the Texas Longhorns rolling, averaging 35 PPG on offense while surrendering just 12.5 PPG on defense.
T7. Hawaii at UNLV (O/U 61.5)
The highest total of any Mountain West game sees Timmy Chang and the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors take the Run and Shoot offense to Sin City. The UNLV Rebels moved to Jayden Maiava at quarterback and have responded with two straight 40-point outings to move to 3-1 on the year, with their lone loss coming to the Michigan Wolverines.
T7. Oregon at Stanford (O/U 61.5)
All of the top three scoring offenses in the country, and four of the top five, hail from the Pac-12. Enjoy it while it lasts. There should be more offense to enjoy in Week 5 as Bo Nix and the Oregon Ducks bring their second-ranked scoring offense (54 PPG) to the Farm to face the Stanford Cardinal’s 114th-ranked scoring defense (32.8 PPG).
T10. Middle Tennessee State at Western Kentucky (O/U 60.5)
Tyson Helton‘s Western Kentucky Hilltoppers continue to churn out high-flying offenses. This year is no exception, with quarterback Austin Reed and wide receiver Malachi Corley entrenched as one of the top duos in the nation.
T10. Boise State at Memphis (O/U 60.5)
Ryan Silverfield‘s Memphis Tigers are averaging 37 PPG, and veteran quarterback Seth Henigan will look for a strong showing against a struggling Boise State Broncos secondary. Godspeed to anyone hoping to tackle Broncos running back Ashton Jeanty, who leads the nation with 692 scrimmage yards and most recently exploded for 205 rushing yards and two scores with 49 more yards receiving against the San Diego State Aztecs.
