Wyndham Championship PGA Betting Guide: Best Bets and Longshots

It’s officially Wyndham Championship week in professional golf. SportsGrid dives deep into the field and looks toward some of our best bets for this tournament.

Wyndham Championship PGA Best Bets

Cameron Young

We’re still looking for Cameron Young’s first career win on the PGA Tour. If it doesn’t happen sooner or later, he might be cursed. Young has been playing some of the best golf of his career heading into this event and is a top ball striker on tour with accuracy. That’s going to be a major key to finding success this week. The value is there for Young to add a victory here.

Best Bets: Young to Win Outright (+2800)

Billy Horschel

Billy Horschel finished as the runner-up at the British Open, which should help inspire some confidence leading into his first appearance since the major. Horschel has found success in this tournament before, including a top-three finish in 2020. In addition, he’s also finished in the top six in four of his last entries at this tournament.

Best Bet: Horschel to Win Outright (+2200)

Sungjae Im

It’s hard to get behind a sizable favorite like Sungjae Im in this setting, but there’s still enough to like about the price point that it’s worthwhile to put him under strong consideration. Im is listed at +1200 to win the event outright, with the closest other participants with their odds coming in at +2200. That’s a big gap. Still, Im has five top 10 finishes in his last seven starts and in a very gettable type field like we have this week, it’s easy to get excited about the runner up here just two years ago.

Best Bet: Im to Win Outright (+1200)

Wyndham Championship PGA Longshots

Lucas Glover

Consistency has undoubtedly been an issue with Lucas Glover this year, which likely factors into his price this week. It’s still hard to believe that the reigning champion of this tournament is that much of a longshot in a less-than-stellar field of golfers. The upside here is strong and worthy of a sprinkle at the current number.

Best Bet: Glover to Win Outright (+11000)

Keith Mitchell

Keith Mitchell has many positive underlying numbers heading into the Wyndham Championship. In this field of golfers, Mitchell has been the top player in strokes gained with his approach shots, which will prove to be a valuable asset on a course where accuracy is of the utmost importance.

Best Bet: Mitchell to Win Outright (+7000)
