10. Seattle Mariners (Prev. Ranking: 10)
June Record: 15-12
The Seattle Mariners potentially boast the top rotation in baseball, and certainly in the American League. They've maintained the lead in the AL West all through June, yet concerns linger. Their lineup struggles at the plate, with anticipation building for their franchise star to find form. Additionally, the surging Houston Astros are close behind, eager to silence skeptics and claim their seventh division title in recent years, excluding 2020.

1. Philadelphia Phillies (Prev. Ranking: 1)
June Record: 15-11
The Philadelphia Phillies maintain their position at the top of our rankings for the second consecutive month, thanks to their unwavering consistency. With an elite starting rotation and remarkable depth, the Phillies have managed to navigate numerous injuries to key players yet have continued to perform well, regardless of who takes the field.
2. Cleveland Guardians (Prev. Ranking: 3)
June Record: 14-11
The Cleveland Guardians continue to rack up victories. Boasting what might be the best bullpen in baseball and a starting lineup featuring All-Star candidates Steven Kwan, Josh Naylor, and Jose Ramirez, along with David Fry, this group has quickly become one of the most formidable and underrated lineups in the entire league.
3. Baltimore Orioles (Prev. Ranking: 5)
June Record: 17-12
If any team is positioned to surpass the Phillies and become the premier team in baseball by the end of the season, it's likely the Baltimore Orioles. Gunnar Henderson is delivering an MVP-worthy performance, and alongside him, the young core including catcher Adley Rutschman continues to impress. The acquisition of Corbin Burnes has proven to be a masterstroke, positioning the Orioles among the top contenders for the World Series.
4. Los Angeles Dodgers (Prev. Ranking: 4)
June Record: 16-10
Despite losing Mookie Betts in mid-June, the Los Angeles Dodgers have continued to excel, largely thanks to the efforts of current MVP-favorite, Shohei Ohtani.
Ranked fourth for the past two months, it seems the Dodgers' best baseball is yet to come. They've faced significant challenges with key players sidelined, yet nothing has derailed their momentum as they march towards October.
The Dodgers are almost certain to win their division and secure a first-round bye in the playoffs. Their health status at that time will be crucial in assessing their potential to contend for a World Series title.
5. New York Yankees (Prev. Ranking: 2)
June Record: 14-13
The New York Yankees have dropped slightly in our rankings due to struggles in their lineup beyond their two superstars. As the trade deadline approaches, they are a team to watch, as they aim to enhance their roster for a World Series run.
Their pitching rotation has been strong throughout the season, and they've recently welcomed back their Cy Young contender, Gerrit Cole. Strengthening the bullpen and adding a few hitters could significantly boost the Yankees' chances of overtaking the Orioles in the AL East.

6. Milwaukee Brewers (Prev. Ranking: 7)
June Record: 16-11
Though the Milwaukee Brewers might often seem like the underdog, their performance this season is undeniably solid. They excel in defense, boast a formidable bullpen, and maintain a top-10 offense in baseball. If the Brewers can acquire a starting pitcher at the trade deadline, they have the makings of a team that could cause a stir in October, especially if Freddy Peralta receives the support he needs at the top of their rotation.

7. Atlanta Braves (Prev. Ranking: 8)
June Record: 14-13
This year, no team in baseball has been more plagued by injuries than the Atlanta Braves. Despite these challenges, the Braves managed to secure 11 wins in their last 18 games, ending June with a winning record.
While catching the Phillies in the NL East this season seems unlikely given the current circumstances, Atlanta is on track to secure a Wild Card spot. Assuming their rotation's top pitchers stay healthy, the Braves will be a formidable opponent in any short series.
8. Minnesota Twins (Prev. Ranking: 11)
June Record: 15-12
Although the Cleveland Guardians appear uncatchable in the AL Central, the Minnesota Twins are only six games behind and have eight more matchups against Cleveland this season. It's too early to discount the reigning AL Central champions.
9. San Diego Padres (Prev. Ranking: 9)
June Record: 15-13
Is any team more intriguing at the trade deadline than A.J. Preller's San Diego Padres?
As contenders for the NL Wild Card, the Padres are fully committed to this season and have recently shown strong performance. In the National League, their current form might be sufficient for a playoff berth, but Preller is known for his bold moves, aiming to shape the Padres into a serious contender for October.
10. Seattle Mariners (Prev. Ranking: 10)
June Record: 15-12
The Seattle Mariners potentially boast the top rotation in baseball, and certainly in the American League. They've maintained the lead in the AL West all through June, yet concerns linger.
