1. Arizona Diamondbacks (2025)
The Arizona Diamondbacks went back to the well once again and came up with another cool, refreshing tall glass of water. Adding purple over the former tan Serpientes design takes it back to the expansion era D-backs, while keeping the look sharp and tidy. The subtle pinstripes add another layer of cool to this rich tapestry of a jersey.
15. Houston Astros (2025)
While the Houston Astros' newest City Connect iteration isn't quite as unique as the design you'll see in a few clicks, it is still very cool. They feature Stros across the chest and maintain orange as a major influence, as they have always done, but this look has a very fresh, retro feel, reminiscent of the teams of Nolan Ryan and the 1980s. They do this while keeping their NASA connection with a space-age font and, at the same time, giving it a futuristic feel. Going retro and evolving in the same jersey is an accomplishment, and so is this new look.
14. Chicago White Sox (2025)
The Chicago White Sox made a little tip of the hat to their NBA cousins, the Chicago Bulls, adding a whole lotta red and black to their 2025 City Connect jerseys. You can also notice the font on the jersey is the same as on the current Bulls gear. The pinstripes stick to the Chitown vibe while recreating a look from the White Sox of the 1930s. The cap, featuring just a white sock logo, is incredibly unique, and the Sox are the first team to release two different ballcaps with their City Connect look.
13. Boston Red Sox (2025)
At first glance, the newest Boston Red Sox City Connect jerseys might just look like a big blob of green, and in a way, it is. That blob is a complete homage to the Green Monster. Not only is the font just like the hand-painted letters on the monster, but the white and yellow lettering also mimics the outfield wall. The ball, strike, and out indicators are also represented on the lower part of the jersey with green, red, and yellow dots.
12. Colorado Rockies (2025)
The Colorado Rockies' first appearance on this list was about the brightest thing seen at Coors Field this season. During a campaign where record-breaking losses continue to pile up, the one good thing they did was add another cool City Connect jersey. After years of grey, black, and dark purple, this jersey took a turn in the opposite direction, full of bright colours reminiscent of a Rocky Mountain sunset. They also bought back the pullover, popular in the 90s, but the first City Connect iteration to go in that style.
11. Houston Astros
The Houston Astros' City Connect uniforms are definitely eye-catching, especially with their space-themed design. The hats are a standout feature, showcasing a cool aesthetic that fits the team's "Space City" moniker. However, the heavy use of navy blue feels a bit redundant, considering the Astros already have another navy blue alternate jersey.

A white-on-white look might have better captured the astronaut theme they were aiming for. While the hats are among the best in the City Connect lineup, the overall uniform could have benefited from a different color scheme to set it apart from their existing options.
10. Seattle Mariners
In 2023, the Seattle Mariners introduced their City Connect uniforms, replacing their traditional road grays as part of Nike’s “4+1” uniform rule. The design successfully bridges the past and the present, featuring the iconic trident "M" on the caps. While the black pants could use a reimagining, the jerseys and caps are mint.
9. San Diego Padres
The San Diego Padres' City Connect uniforms are among the most divisive in the league. On a sunny day at the beach, the vibrant colors might look cool, but the full uniform set feels like an overreach. It seems like a bold attempt to rival the Miami Heat’s “Miami Vice” jerseys but ends up clashing with the Padres’ traditional brown and gold.

The 2020 uniform revamp was widely praised, making these City Connect jerseys feel disconnected from the team’s identity. Nevertheless, if the goal was to capture the attention of younger fans with a flashy design, these jerseys certainly succeeded in doing that.
8. Atlanta Braves
The Atlanta Braves' City Connect uniforms are a nod to the past but don’t quite hit the mark compared to the originals. The color scheme is excellent, honoring one of MLB's most iconic looks. However, the lowercase “a” on the cap from the throwback uniforms is missed, and the “The A” logo on the chest feels like an awkward attempt to modernize the design.

The cursive script from the original v-necked jerseys remains superior. If these uniforms were entirely new, they might rank higher, but they fall short when compared to the Braves’ classic throwbacks.
