MLB Betting Guide for June 14: Phils-O’s Weekend Clash

All 30 MLB teams are in action today heading into the weekend, so let’s dive into all the action set for the day ahead.

Kicking off the night, a classic rivalry is back for another rendition, as the Boston Red Sox will welcome the New York Yankees to Fenway Park. This season is going completely different for the two arch-rivals, as the Yankees sport the league’s best record. After the Red Sox just took two of three games from the Philadelphia Phillies, maybe the Red Sox got the confidence they needed to face the Yankees head-on.

Additionally, we have a much more competitive matchup down the Northeast Corridor as the Baltimore Orioles will host the aforementioned Philadelphia Phillies in Camden Yards for a fascinating weekend series. The Orioles sit just a half-game back of the Phillies in the league-wide standings, but they’ll have a tough weekend ahead as they’ll get to face Ranger Suarez tonight and Zack Wheeler on Sunday. Seeing how the O’s young sluggers match up against the elite arms will be interesting, but on the Phillies’ end, ideally, their injured offense won’t be too much of a liability.

Elsewhere, the Atlanta Braves hope to make up ground in the NL standings against the Tampa Bay Rays, and the AL Cy Young frontrunner Tarik Skubal will take the mound for the Detroit Tigers as they face off with the Houston Astros.

To close out the night, the Los Angeles Dodgers will look to respond after dropping their series this week against the Texas Rangers, with the impressive Kansas City Royals coming to town for the weekend.It should be a great day of baseball, so stay with SportsGrid to be covered on everything the day will throw at us.
