Pittsburgh Pirates Add Daulton Jefferies from Minors for Doubleheader vs. Tigers

The Pittsburgh Pirates have announced the addition of right-handed pitcher Daulton Jefferies for the second game of today’s doubleheader against Detroit.

Jefferies, 28, started the season with the Giants, where he appeared in two games (one start) for San Francisco and recorded a 1-0 record with a 3.44 ERA (18.1 IP/7 ER) across four appearances (two starts) with Triple-A Sacramento.
On May 10, the Pirates acquired Jefferies in a trade for minor-league outfielder Rodolfo Nolasco. Since joining the Pirates’ organization, he has made two starts for Triple-A Indianapolis.
Jefferies will be wearing jersey number 59.
