Atlanta comes in fresh off two postponed games versus the New York Mets, sending Max Fried to the bump for the series opener. We expect a business-like approach and decisive victory on Friday

The New York Mets can assure themselves of a playoff spot by winning out. But that might be easier said than done as they head to the mid-west for a weekend clash with the Milwaukee Brewers. Milwaukee counters with Frankie Montas, who is coming off a disastrous start against the Arizona Diamondbacks last time out. Advantage Mets, in what will inevitably be a low-scoring affair.

Conversely, the Minnesota Twins desperately need their stars to shine as they try to upend the AL wild card race. Minnesota should cruise with Pablo Lopez on the mound.

That could end in disaster for the D-Backs as they send an injured Merrill Kelly to the bump. In addition to dealing with a calf injury, Kelly is primed for regression after out-performing his underlying metrics for the past month. Padres play spoiler in this one.
