Kyle Tucker – RF, Houston Astros: (+5000)
Kyle Tucker was a strong contender in the MVP race until Judge's recent phenomenal performance and a right shin contusion that landed the Astros' star on the injured list.
While his odds may be relatively low, now might be a good time to bet on Tucker. Despite the Astros' challenging season, the two-time All-Star has posted impressive stats with 19 home runs, 40 RBIs, and a .979 OPS. Even after finishing fifth in AL MVP voting last year, Tucker somehow still seems to be underappreciated.

Aaron Judge – OF, New York Yankees: (-125)
For those tracking the stats, Aaron Judge is currently dominating the league, leading in home runs (25), RBIs (62), walks (55), on-base percentage (.433), slugging percentage (.702), OPS (1.135), OPS+ (216), total bases (174), and fWAR (5.0).
Judge is on track to win his second AL MVP in three years, and he could even challenge his own AL single-season record of 62 home runs.
Gunnar Henderson – SS, Baltimore Orioles: (+450)
It’s unfortunate for Gunnar Henderson that Judge is stealing the spotlight right now, because if Henderson were in the NL, his 21 home runs, 47 RBIs, .971 OPS, and 4.5 fWAR would make him a leading MVP candidate.
Henderson, who won the AL Rookie of the Year Award in 2023, could achieve something remarkable by following it up with an MVP, especially as an Orioles shortstop. Hall of Famer Cal Ripken Jr. won the AL Rookie of the Year in 1982 before claiming the MVP in 1983. Baltimore also clinched a World Series title in the latter season.
Juan Soto – RF, New York Yankees: (+500)
An MVP is essentially the only accolade missing from Juan Soto’s resume, having previously placed in the top six in NL MVP voting three times, including as the runner-up to Harper in 2021. While Judge’s performance this year makes it hard to imagine Soto being the Yankee to win AL MVP, the young slugger will undoubtedly be in the conversation. More significantly, Soto is positioning himself to potentially secure the most lucrative contract in MLB history by present-day value when he becomes a free agent this offseason.

Bobby Witt Jr. – SS, Kansas City Royals: (+500)
Although he may not be the starting shortstop for the AL, Bobby Witt Jr. is on his way to his first All-Star Game appearance in 2024. He’s also likely to rank higher in AL MVP voting than last year when he finished seventh.
Witt leads all of baseball in runs scored (58) and holds the top marks in the American League for hits (91) and batting average (.326). The 11-year, $288.8 million extension he signed with the Royals this past offseason is already proving to be a bargain.

José Ramírez – 3B, Cleveland Guardians: (+2000)
Jose Ramírez’s path to the Hall of Fame may not hinge on multiple AL MVP wins. However, the four-time Silver Slugger Award winner is undoubtedly crafting a compelling case for Cooperstown. Set to become a six-time All-Star, Ramírez is also likely to secure his sixth top-six finish in AL MVP voting in his illustrious career.
Ramírez has previously led the AL in sacrifice hits, doubles, runs scored, and intentional walks. This year, he boasts the most RBIs (62) of any player in the sport.
Corey Seager – SS, Texas Rangers: (+5000)
Corey Seager’s resume boasts four All-Star Game appearances, three Silver Sluggers, an NL Rookie of the Year Award, an NLCS MVP, and two World Series MVPs. However, a regular season MVP Award has eluded him so far. Seager finished third in NL MVP voting in 2016 and was the runner-up in AL MVP voting last year. This year looks challenging to stand out in the AL, especially as a shortstop. Nonetheless, with 14 home runs and a .362 on-base percentage, Seager is sure to appear on MVP ballots, even if it’s not in the top spot.
Kyle Tucker – RF, Houston Astros: (+5000)
Kyle Tucker was a strong contender in the MVP race until Judge's recent phenomenal performance and a right shin contusion that landed the Astros' star on the injured list.
