MLB schedule makers set up one of the premier Sunday Night Baseball showdowns of the season in tonight’s clash between the New York Yankees and Los Angeles Dodgers. Not only is this a rematch of the 2024 World Series, but it pits two of the best teams in the majors against each other on an otherwise quiet scheduling spot.
The Dodgers have convincingly taken the first two games of the series. Still, the Yankees won’t go down without a fight.

Yankees vs Dodgers: Sunday Night Baseball 3-Leg Parlay
Leg 1: Dodgers -1.5 +116
Where to Watch New York Yankees vs. Los Angeles Dodgers
- Ballpark: Dodger Stadium
- Location: Los Angeles, CA
- Where to Watch: ESPN
- Time: 7:10 p.m. ET
- Spread: LAD -1.5 | Total: 9
- Moneyline: LAD -170 | NYY +145
Through two games, the Yankees have been decimated at Chavez Ravine. Sadly, that’s unlikely to change in the series finale. The Dodgers should be able to continue their onslaught and cover the runline at home.
After building a 5-2 cushion early in the series opener, New York has gone on to be outscored 24-2 over the last 15 innings. In doing so, they have exhausted their bullpen, meaning they will need extra length out of Ryan Yarbrough on Sunday night. Unfortunately, that plays into the Dodgers’ strength.
Los Angeles rakes versus southpaws. In over 500 at-bats versus lefties, the Dodgers’ slugging percentage jumps to .477, pushing their OPS to .800. Further, Yarbrough is typically deployed as a long-relief arm. While injuries have forced him into the starting rotation, Yarbrough has totaled just 20.0 innings across four starts. That means LA could get a familiar dose of relief pitchers they have already tattooed this series.
The Dodgers continue to mash, and there’s nothing the Yankees can do to slow them down. Don’t be fooled into thinking New York has a shot in this one; LA cruises.

Leg 2: Yoshinobu Yamamoto to Record 7+ Strikeouts +100
The Dodgers continue to lure the best Japanese player stateside, and Yoshinobu Yamamoto is one of the more recent examples of such. Injuries limited the righty in his first big league season, but Yamamoto has found his groove early in 2025.
The hard-throwing righty continues to offer a masterclass in pitching. Yamamoto is twirling a 1.97 ERA, a 0.91 WHIP, and most impressively, a 10.6 K/9 rate. His strikeout metrics should be on the rise after Sunday’s performance.
Analytically, Yamamoto continues to rate as one of the elite strikeout pitchers in the game. He generates 30.0% whiff and 29.4% chase rates with his six-pitch repertoire, yielding a 30.5% strikeout rate. Moreover, he usually reserves his most dominant performances for his home starts. In five games at Dodger Stadium, Yamamoto has struck out 39 across 29.0 innings pitched.
The Yankees have recorded the 10th-most strikeouts versus righties this season, walking back to the dugout 25.8% of the time. Yamamoto will add to those woes. We like his chances of reaching at least seven strikeouts in the series finale.
Leg 3: Teoscar Hernandez to Record a Home Run +350
Shohei Ohtani, Mookie Betts, and Freddie Freeman usually get the lion’s share of the credit on offense. Still, we’re not discounting Teoscar Hernandez‘s contributions. The right-handed batter has plenty of pop and could add to his home run total on Sunday night.
Hernandez has a sterling analytics profile. The three-time Silver Slugger ranks in the 87th percentile or better in expected slugging percentage and launch angle sweet spot contact, complemented by his 12.9% barrel rate and elite bat speed.
More importantly, he continues to translate that to on-field success. So far this season, Hernandez has an eye-popping .556 slugging percentage, equalling 14 doubles and 10 home runs. Predictably, his best work comes versus lefties. His slugging percentage soars to .950, with five of his 10 home runs coming in just 40 at-bats versus southpaws.
Hernandez is the often-overlooked catalyst of the Dodgers’ lineup. We’re not making that mistake tonight, backing him to send one into orbit versus the Yankees.
