After this historic run to the NBA Finals, it was clear that the Pacers were a team on the rise and slowly, but surely, becoming an attractive destination for players looking to win. Now, the Pacers head into next season off a heartbreaking loss with everything at stake without their leader. Their chances to return to the big stage this time next year have drastically decreased, and they could be forced to make tough roster decisions moving forward with the new CBA guidelines in place as they continue to try to remain competitive until Haliburton can return to full health.
