The Milwaukee Bucks are set for a showdown with the Detroit Pistons on Friday night as the race in the Eastern Conference standings heats up with two games left. Milwaukee enters this game riding a five-game winning streak, while the Pistons look to shake their inconsistencies with a 5-5 record in their last ten games. Expect both teams to put forth their best efforts, with two games separating them between the No. 5 and No. 6 seeds. Not to mention, each of their final two games is against the other.

Bucks vs Pistons Best Bet: Bucks ML +200
The Bucks enter this matchup as the underdogs on the road despite their dominant stretch behind Giannis Antetokounmpo’s impressive play. Milwaukee’s supporting cast has followed their leader’s path over the last five games, and as the playoffs loom, they continue to look like a team that could make some noise in the postseason. Meanwhile, J.B. Bickerstaff’s squad has impressed throughout the season, but their recent struggles aren’t encouraging as the young team prepares for the playoffs. With this game likely to have a playoff atmosphere, I’ll pick the more experienced side to get the job done.
Bucks vs Pistons Best Total Bet: Over 230.5
Milwaukee’s offense has been on another level as of late, scoring 110+ points in each of their last six games and 120+ in five of their previous six games. On the flip side, Detroit’s squad has proven they’re no slouch on offense, averaging 115.2 points per game. Assuming this matchup follows the trend of their first two showdowns, I’ll take the over on the 230.5 point set total.
Bucks Best Player Bet: Giannis Antetokounmpo Over 7.5 Assists +135
As mentioned above, Giannis Antetokounmpo has been on a tear lately. The Greek Freak is averaging 30.4 points, 11.9 rebounds, and 6.3 assists on the season, and while that’s impressive enough, he continues to elevate his play down the stretch. Through five games in April, Antetokounmpo is averaging 31.8 points, 12.2 rebounds, and 11.2 assists. With 8+ assists in four of his last five games, I can easily see the Bucks star also putting on a passing clinic in this matchup.
Pistons Best Player Bet: Cade Cunningham 3+ Threes +170
Cade Cunningham has continued to do everything he can over the Pistons’ recent play to keep his struggling squad afloat. The 23-year-old is averaging 26 points, 9.1 assists, and 6.1 rebounds on the season, shooting 44.5% from field goal range and 35.4% from three. In each of the two matchups against the Bucks this season, Cunningham has managed to knock down 3+ threes in each. That alone gives me confidence that the star guard can rise to the occasion again in Friday night’s marquee matchup.
